So are we having a virtual party then?

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 08/05/2007 22:30

gosh I wish I could join what sounds like a GREAT party but I must get bathed etc. whilst DS is asleep

thanks for all the kind words as well everyone. I have decided I would like to lose 4 stone 9 pounds. Which is a hell of a lot better than it could have been.

am hoping to be on here more supporting you all (well as much as that's any use!)in the future.

justamum · 09/05/2007 00:41

Happy Birthday Mofos. I may rejoin properly instead of just lurking as today has been the first of many attempted starts where I have managed to go even one day eating sensibly. Still late night posting as ever. One day I will sort out my erratic sleep patterns.
May i join you for a vol au vent(sp?) and an alcopop please?

hippipotami · 09/05/2007 09:15

bugger, looks like I missed a GREAT party!

suejonez · 09/05/2007 09:20

This is a great party, I've even put me blue eyeliner on specially.

aaaagaaaadoo doo doo...

Cheesyfeet realises the party has finished and slinks off carrying all the spare sausage-on-a-sticks

suejonez · 09/05/2007 11:07

CheesyFeet · 09/05/2007 13:16

sosidge-on-a-stick FS?

littlemisssensible · 09/05/2007 13:40

Hi Guys!

Well I seem to have missed a brill party and I got a crown as well without noticing

I've been sooooo busy keeping the house clean for potential purchasers that I've not even switched the damn 'puter on except to work!

I had DH and DD in stitchs every morning as I hid the crappy towels and soap and replaced them with lovely fluffy(the towels not the soap!)new white ones which they were banned from touching....then swopped them all back before evening baths etc!

But it worked....we have an offer which is only a little under asking price and a little above what we thought we'd get!!!! Yay!

Now just the stress of surveys etc!

AlphaLolly · 09/05/2007 15:53

Duh just realised I was logged in as FS earlier.

I am AlphaLolly and was on FS computer, so it was me saying I am here now.

I am friends with FS. She said I should join on this thread for a weekly weigh in.

Hopefully it will stop us both being naughty food wise!!!

What do I have to do. I go to SW on a Weds night.

ForcesSweetheart · 09/05/2007 18:04

Duh you muppet AL! Hope you weren't posting on any other threads at the same time!
Just email your weekly weigh-in on a Thursday to [email protected] (don't forget to say what your MN name is when you email).
Good luck with SW weigh-in tonight, the wine's in the freezer, see you in a bit.

Fauve · 09/05/2007 19:41

Hello, BigMoFos, sorry I missed a great party! I just ate 4 Cocopops bars in order to motivate myself to de-louse dd, so I think I'd better slink back in. Will weigh myself tomorrow and get back on the wagon This nit-combing lark could go on and on...

JackieNo · 09/05/2007 20:36

Welcome, AlphaLolly. I was a bit confused as to why ForcesSweetheart seemed to be talking to herself.

Hi Fauve. De-nitting is the pits, isn't it. DD has conjunctivitis (possibly DS too, though he also has a cold, so a little difficult to tell). Eye drops are not fun, as they sting a bit.

Had a horrible day, nothing in particular, just things in general getting me down, and to top it all off, I just had a cake from the lovely bakery near us, and found a hair in it. Yeuch. Serves me right for eating cake, I guess.

justamum · 09/05/2007 23:07

Jackie, how horrible! at least you won't want to buy cakes drom there again in a hurry.
Sue, how is Daniel? I followed you avidly while you were away only to lose track when you got home. I haven't been able to muster up the energy to diet since having ds and that was over 3 years ago so I have great respect for anyone who is managing to sustain weight loss and new motherhood. I was utterly hopeless after having both of mine and just ate chocolate by the tonne.

On a brighter note I feel positively slender already having achieved day 2 of eating ok. La di da, I'm going to be a size 10 in no time!!!

littlemisssensible · 10/05/2007 10:39

Welcome Alphalolly
Hi Fauve! My deepest sympathy, we're also dealing with a nit attack! And poor DD can't understand why I'm not very keen on a cuddle! I send in DH to do cuddling duty as he sports a very attractive 'skating rink' which doesn't seem to appeal to the little blighters! I have to do the combing though as he never seems to find the damn things!

suejonez · 10/05/2007 13:26

hi justamum - D is just great had a good report from teh paediatrician who said he has caught up on his orphanage delays and now just needs to catch up on his prematurity delays - no concerns there though, just a matter of adjusting his age and making sre he keeps progressing as he is.

I've had a terrible week - put on 4lb serves me right have really made no attempt to eat even normally this week. Bugger. Am having pizza tonight (bridge night with the girls) but will try to drag my weary body back onto the wagon tomorrow.

OP posts:
AlphaLolly · 10/05/2007 13:27

Thanks everyone - I am at a loss of 36lbs in 12 months. Doing Sw.

AL

littlemisssensible · 10/05/2007 13:51

I've put on 1.5lb this week which is a bit of a let down after last week but not totally unexpected!

AF is visiting again (I'm gonna have to start putting all these visits in my diary as I suspect the old bod is having another funny 5 minutes!) AND I've eaten far too much over the bank holiday period as well as the last few days

I just can't seem to deal with having a treat because its a special occasion then going back to a healthy diet; I have the treat (a day out, a celebration, etc) but then can't seem to stop inhaling food! It usually takes a crap weigh in to snap me out of stuffing my face mode!

But never mind! I didn't put back everything I lost last week so I'm still on a downward trend and this week will be better!

EllieG · 10/05/2007 13:53

Haven't had a chance to weigh self this week officially but home scales say am same. Will weigh in tomorrow so too late for emailing but congrats and comiserations to rest of you. Am a bit stuck cos keep eating sweets and drinking wine.

coppertop · 10/05/2007 14:15

Welcome to the new MoFos.

Congratulations on getting an offer, LMS (on the house, just in case anyone's got a smutty mind )

I'm the same weight as I was 2 weeks ago so no change here.

littlemisssensible · 10/05/2007 15:18

Thanx Coppertop!

I'm able to relax a bit for the moment. Although all the stress of surveys, mortgage forms, solicitors, moving companies etc will no doubt fill my every waking moment, as well as some sleeping ones, in the near future!

The main current worry is DD who has now decided she doesn't want to move because the boy next door will miss her! Arghhhhhh!

hippipotami · 10/05/2007 19:57

Alphalolly - that is a fab weight loss for the year - well done, and I take comfort from your success - it CAN be done!

LMS - how old is dd? Sounds very sweet!

I am still doing (or trying to ) Paul McKenna' system - am not going to weigh myself for another 2 weeks, but as soon as I do I will post it here if I may.
Doubt I will lose any, have been stuffing myself for a week, AF due in the next few days so am inhaling chocolate, and next weekend we are having a long weekend in Dublin, so lots of eating and drinking out to put the pounds on!

agalch · 11/05/2007 07:44

Morning all

Lost 2.5lbs this week.Think booking our hols to Turkey has re-motivated me.16lbs to go,think it will be 1 step forward and 3 back on ocasion tho.Wanted to come home and get a carry out and booze last night but managed to resist.DH out on Saturday and will be bored witless so need to think of something to do so i don't eat everything thats not nailed down.

Ds1 off on exam leave and makes himself cheese and red onion toasties, square sausage rolls etc.Soooo hard not to indulge when you smell all that.Mmmmm.... Can't wait till he goes back to school lol.

Dd1 being very reasonable and well behaved atm which definitly helps my weight loss.If she stresses me loads i tend to binge and feel crappy.

My "friend" who is at the same diet class (the competitive one) has 2.5lbs to go and god do we all know it.Her latest gem was telling my other (lovely) friend how much easier it was for really fat people to lose weight cos they have more to lose.Eh?? It has obv been harder for her cos shes much thinner than us.Wow thanks mate!!

Anyhow hope you all have a good day.I have no plans for today so will need to get out somewhere so i don't snack all day.
