Regaining the beach body 2018 - 5'3" and 2st to lose

Long time lurker on these baords here and finally I've been brave enough.

My last pregnancy has added about 2st to my previously acceptable frame and I now find myself bordering at the upper normal/ slighly overweight line. I've always had weight issues and weighed anything from a very slim 6st 7lbs to 11st 5lbs in my adult life.

I'm mid-30s now and am finding the whole weight-loss thing a lot harder, especially as my DH and DC are always hungry and prefer dense, calorie-laden foods.

This year, one of my main aims is to get my pre-pregnancy figure back in a healthy way. I want to do this by cutting portion sizes, eating more real foods and cutting down on sugary and alcoholic drinks. I'm also exercising daily for 30min - all cardio, with a few muscle-building exercises. I've had a few good days at the start of the year, but work stresses have had my diet take a back step and I still weigh pretty much the same as I did at the start of the year. Blush

I have 4 months to lose a substantial amount of weight and have previously been able to lose a stone in 7 weeks, so I know it's do-able. I just need the focus to get this done. Anyone want to join me and post their little successes here daily?

I'll make a start. Litte successes today:

  • 30min stationary bike
  • 3x 30 reps light weights
  • 2 meals batch-cooked for the week, the rest pre-planned to cut out the take-away temptation
