What is wrong with me?

My BMI is 34.6, I'm short (160cm) and weigh 88.6kg.

I wasn't always fat. One day at age 18 I woke up and literally couldn't fit into my clothes from the day before. Not normal bloating, they were just too small. I was a size 10 back then. Since then the weight has gone on and on. I can't lose it, I can't even maintain it.

I went to the doctor back then and he more or less told me that I was being ridiculous and no one could put on that much weight overnight. He suggested I "go for a run".

Since then I have had two more children. I ALWAYS lose weight when I am pregnant, but as soon as I give birth it goes back on.

I've done tracking on myfitnesspal, I've done slimming world, I've done crash diets and 5:2. I've done work out dvds and used a running machine and I'm never off my feet from 6am to 11pm every day.

I'm fairly confident that I get enough exercise, I know I do well over 10000 steps each day.

I'm fairly confident that I eat well enough.
I don't always have breakfast but if I do it's never more than a single boiled egg on a single slice of toast. I don't always have time for lunch but I do try, I make up pasta salad for the week and have around 2 serving spoons worth with tuna/egg/cheese (one not all). I only ever really eat fish and vegetables for dinner. Steamed. Might have a pre made pizza once every month or two. I drink 4-6 500ml bottles of water every day.

I've been back to the Dr's several times. They tested for thyroid issues and apparently there are none. They considered that I may have polycystic ovaries and then I fell pregnant so that was ruled out (although I'm not really sure why as people with PCOS can fall pregnant). I was told after one blood test that I had slightly high levels of testosterone but not high enough to treat.

I'm a size 16-18 with a 36HH chest and I feel heavy, I can't skip etc with dc because it feels like my ankles will snap under the weight.

I've seen four different GPs and none are taking this seriously. I'm really worried. There's a family history of heart problems and this weight can't be helping my chances.

Other symptoms that became apparent at the same time as the weight gain were sudden irritability, random hairs growing from my face and forehead, sleepy all the time, harder to breathe/take a full breath.

I just keep expanding and I feel like I'm going to pop.

I haven't put a lot of weight on my thighs/arms and I still have an obvious waistline so it's going on in the same places at the same rate.

What the hell is going on? How do I fix it? Will I ever be able to lose this weight? Can anyone help me?

Have you ever lost weight when counting calories or doing Slimming World?

Some of what you describe sounds like PCOS to me, but I'm in no way an expert. Could you ask the GP to re-consider PCOS?

160cm isn’t short! It’s above average!
