Can anyone advise on seaweed for weight loss?

I have various health conditions that make weight loss all but impossible. I only lose weight when I eat under 100 calories a day (not a typo), exercise doesn't work at all. I've just read seaweed can stop the body absorbing fat and while I don't have high hopes about anything at this stage, I think it might be worth a try. Does anyone know what form I should try eating for maximum effect?

What do your doctors suggest?
Under a 100 calories a day is not healthy and definitely not sustainable.

Seaweed or kelp tablets contain iodine which stimulates the thyroid. Is that what you mean?

Have you got pcos ? I had that and a very low/no carb diet was the only thing that worked. It shifted the lot in no time after years of being overweight!

Doctors either don't believe me or they say they do but can't help. I've had loads of tests and nothing ever seems to come back as abnormal. So pretty sure I don't have pcos. I don't have many under 100 calorie days, only when I gain and I need to lose again. Otherwise my weight is relatively stable at 13 stone. I'm 5ft 5.

Would seaweed or kelp tablets be as good as actual seaweed?
