What made you decide on WW or SW - how did you choose which one?

I chose WW points because I find it really hard to know when to stop. I tried WW core last year, which I believe is similar to SW and it was hopeless. Even though I was eating all the right stuff, I was just eating too much of it, grazing constantly. I can't do the "eat til you're comfortably full" thing. Points works for me, I can eat what I like, but the system has totally changed my ideas about portion sizes and really made me think about every thing I put in my mouth. I've lost 12 pounds in 8 weeks. Slowly but surely!

I do ww as I can't get round the red day green day thing and I know where I am with the points

If you're doing it online, Christie ( like me ) - you will have access to a points tracker, where you can find out the points of anything - either from their huge list of foods or by entering the calories and saturated fats. It's great, I keep track of everything I'm eating on there. The message boards are really helpful too.

I believe you can buy a book with the points values from the WW online shop too ( although I got mine from eBay ) I don't find I use it that much though, as I just use my online tracker.

My tip for a newbie is weigh and point everything, use the message boards on WW for inspiration, fill up on low point and free food - ie salad and veg, and frylight spray is my new best friend!

Hi I started WW 2 weeks ago at home..Was really in to it.But then it was my daughters birthday and i totally slipped off points system for3 days.I was so annoyed at my self. i have the ww journerl where you write down your food and total up points. I am just gonna cross out those bad days and try to get back on track.I lost 6 and half pounds but some of that will be fluid.Scared to weigh my self to see how much damage i did.wish me luck.

SW I lost 4 and half stone doing it and found it great for me as I have a huge appetite. I had tryed ww before but couldn't get on with points system.
I think though all diets work if they suit you and your head is in the right place,
thats the magical key more than anything else.
