WW has two schemes.

One gives everything a "points" value that is listed for a lot of things or you can work out from labels by looking at the calories and fat content. Then you are allowed a certain number of points each day.

The other has a big list of foods that you can eat as much of as you like, but you shouldn't eat anything not on the list (although you get a small points allowance for off-list treats.

You can switch between the two schemes but they recommend you do so in week-long blocks rather than changing every day.

thanks for that - so would you say it was fairly easy to follow? Do you ever get stuck for what to eat?

I'm an on-again off-again follower -- I know from experience that what I really need is to go to meetings, but I can't at the moment so I try to do it online but it's not the same.

It's easy enough to do after the first couple of weeks of getting your head around it, yes. But you do need your willpower not to fall back into old habits.

would you say its better than SW then?

Haven't done SW so couldn't say. I think it's down to the individual and what your weak points are vs. what you find easy.
