Hi, I tried starting on Boxing Day, I tried starting on New Year's Day. And a few goes since then but I'm finally feeling in the right head space.

I have just over 2.5 stone to go. I'm thinking of just keeping a running total of how many lb to go instead of up and down amounts each week, sounds silly but I feel like it will work better as will keep me positive (and realistic) about what I've got to do. normally In the past I would treat myself "ooo I lost 3lb I can have a take away" and that's not helping.

I'm rambling, so anyway anyone else late to the party that wants to trudge on together? My goal is October but first stone asap.

Me! I am hopefully going away for a long weekend in the sunshine 6 weeks tomorrow and want to lose 10lbs by then (8 as a minimum) I am usually pretty good but haven't seemed to be able to get my head back in the game since Christmas!!

Phew I thought I'd started a dead thread!

I'm a bit pissed off that I chose my first day as the one I was doing a stupid bake sale for and the cakes looked incredible! I didn't cave though, just kept saying to myself 37lb to go! I also managed 11k steps so feeling pretty happy!

Has anyone got an actual plan for weight loss? I'm still flailing about trying to decide..

First day here and I have been really strict. MFP is saying I have eaten just under 1000 calories. I also swam 30 lengths. I will normally be aiming for 1200 cals per day plus regular exercise. Am happy to update weight and / or weight loss weekly too.

I had a sad/motivated moment today...I was referred to as the big one at work. it's definitely stuck with me so I hope it helps keep me on target.I still want to cry though

I managed 13k steps today and was under cals so I'm doing ok. I'd love to go swimming @Homemadehopeful I think it's the best form of exercise.
