Constantly hungry

I dont know why but since I started my diet I'm constantly hungry even though I'm eating properly and not starving myself as such...for instance this morning I had 2 weetabix with milk and a cup of tea for breakfast...by 10am I was absolutely starving so I had a crab stick...still hungry but held off until dinner where I had half a tin of veg soup with half a french bread role...still hungry afterwards so I had a satsuma...the hunger went down a little but by the time tea time came around I was starving again...we've just had tea (sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and beans) and I don't feel like I've eaten anything...I'm so hungry. Its making me want to quit.

Is it suger withdrawel or something? no matter how much I eat it just seems to make no difference to my hunger.

That's the trouble with diets - you become obsessed with everything you put in your mouth and convince yourself you're hungry when you're not because you're denying yourself things. Just eat heathily and exercise. A crab stick isn't very healthy!!!

Don't think you are eating enough to be honest. There is room in your diet for a mid morning snack of fruit or a yoghurt, or couple of snack a jacks with a cuppa. Fruit fruit and more fruit throughout the day.

Incidently are you drinking enough - sometimes our bodies get confused and show hunger signs when infact they are dehydrated

Not enough protein

Have egg or cottage cheese or some ham with with wholemeal toast for breakfast -a small amount of protein with breakfast always keeps me full for longer. If you have cereal then have a small portion of protein as well. Half a tin of veg soup is not much for lunch - Make it a whole tin with the same amount of bread. Follow lunch with yoghurt or fruit. After dinner have fruit or yoghurt again.

The key is to try and eat three meals a day without snacking too much but if you do that you need to have reasonable size meals. If you do really need a snack stick to fruit or vegetables . Only snack if you are 'hungry' not if you just fancy something.
