Does anyone swim early in the morning and if you do when do you eat breakfast?

I re-joined weight watchers today and would like to do some exercise to help speed up my weight loss. I've decided to start with swimming, but because of DH's shift work it is sometimes difficult for me to go after work, our local pool does an early morning session from 6am so I'm now considering going before work, but when should I eat breakfast?

I know I shouln't eat much before swimming, but is it okay to have something to eat about 30 minutes before?

I'm thinking of having some fruit before and then having my proper breakfast when I get to work at 9am.

not any more, but when I did I had a split breakfast - banana first and cereal after or vice versa.
The 'don't eat before swimming' thing is really 'don't eat a three-course meal and immediately jump in the pool'.

used to swim religiously in the morning and as did as mrs b - light snack pre swim followed by cereal or toast afterwards.

i would just have something to drink tbh and then banana or toast afterwards

thing is, swimming makes me hungry (dont knwo about you!) so even if i eat before i am hungry afterwards so i end up eating before and after!
defeats the purpose therefore

Thanks, I agree Nailpolish swimming does make me hungry. I think I'll try a banana before swimming and have toast or cereal after.
