Sent you the email cp3! Obviously not getting through again! I'm pretty sure I've got the right address and they don't come back to me so maybe there's someone out there in cyber space wondering who the hell keeps sending them messages with numbers on.
Anyway, my total is: 58,032
which I'm pleased with as it's a bit more than 10% on last week!

CP3 · 25/07/2004 17:21

Hi guys, sorry I'm late, I've been away for a few days. Not much walking though, just sitting about and eating. Therefore...

57, 582

Earlybird · 25/07/2004 21:44

Hi Ponygirl - don't know that I would call 57,500 steps in a week "just sitting about eating"! I'd say it's pretty good.

Tommy · 25/07/2004 21:58

Nor would I! I've been doing loads this week (or so I though) and you've nearly done as many as me! Today has also been particlularly bad so will have to get moving as from tomorrow! Good luck this week guys Gin

Tommy · 25/07/2004 21:59

Oops - that should, of course, have been !!

MadameButterfly · 25/07/2004 22:08

Last week was particularly good for me, but I don't think I will do so well this week.

All of DD's classes and toddler goups have finished for the summer now and my mum and aunt are arriving on Tuesday for a week. If it was just my mum we would probably walk into town, but there is no way my aunt will do it, so we will be driving everywhere.

PicadillyCircus · 25/07/2004 22:11

Can I join in for next week please? Do I do from Saturday to Friday?

ponygirl · 25/07/2004 22:32

Thanks Earlybird and Tommy! The worst of the flake out will be in next week's numbers - only 1500 today !

CP3 · 26/07/2004 10:55

Yes PC, Sat morn to Fri eve. You should be trying to acieve 10,000 a day.

OP posts:
MeanBean · 26/07/2004 11:01

Now I've got one and am using it, but am a bit hazy as to what it all means. I know you're supposed to do 10,000 steps in one day, but does that just mean that you are doing a normal level of activity, or does it mean you are a lean mean walking machine?

CP3 · 26/07/2004 12:19

i supose it depends on what kind of person you are as in active or not. Im sat at the comp working most days so i have to make a concerted effort to go out for a walk if i want to meet my target.

Well, it's about bloody time!!!!!!

finally my pedo-thingy arrived today and I've just programmed it. Just have to remember to wear it everyday now.

Can anyone tell me when to result are collected?

emmatmg · 30/07/2004 16:07

Don't worry, Just read the thread and saw it was saturday morning til friday night.

CP3 · 30/07/2004 16:21

Emma, e mail me at [email protected]. Count from sat morn to fri eve.

MadameButterfly, i got my stepper thing to make up my steps at the end of the day and its hard work. Alot harder than walking, do we get double points

OP posts:
emmatmg · 31/07/2004 20:54

I am amazed at myself, I've been on my feet all day and I'm shattered with aching legs.

Must be a good result then I hear you all say........

But the whole point is to wear the bloody thing. I CANNOT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO PUT IT ON

Stupid, stupid, stupid Bint!

BTW does yours (anyone) reset itself on it own. I tested it out last night for a while and got to about 1000 and then looked again it said zero. What am I doing wrong? about from not remembering to wear it.

Tommy · 31/07/2004 21:07

Mine doesn't do that but I know some of them do!

Tommy · 01/08/2004 19:53

Any new news on this front?

ponygirl · 02/08/2004 23:08

I am still here! Only 41,000 this week . Yes, emmatmg, mine keeps resetting itself too. I think it just gets knocked and turns off. It's registering very strangely today, I think the skirt I'm wearing has pushed it too far round my waist. I've been on my feet all day, including a big shop round Sainsburys, so I must have done more than 3,900!

Earlybird · 03/08/2004 14:47

ponygirl - isn't it frustrating when you KNOW you've done alot of steps, but for some reason they haven't registered!! I walked from the Oxo Tower to Victoria Station in London last week, and the pedometer only registered 6,000 steps. I know it's so much further than that, but for some reason, that's all that appeared. And, just in case anyone is wondering, I am honest and only report what the pedometer says rather than taking liberties and estimating what I think it should be!

champs · 04/08/2004 01:18

Dont know if this has been said already but mc donalds are giving away a stepometer(pedometer) with a premium salad and drink for £3.99
