Stealth free boast: I've reached my goal!
32
JesusTapdancingChrist · 02/12/2017 14:32
16 weeks ago I weighed 12st 5lbs. At 5'3, this put me into the 'Obese' BMI category. That was my lightbulb moment after months of being in denial. I felt lethargic, heavy and pretty disgusting all round. Was bursting out of size 14 clothing.
This morning I weighed 10st 0lbs.
I feel amazing. I have fundamentally changed the way I view food and exercise and in no way feel like I'm on a temporary 'diet'. The changes I've made will be the norm for the rest of life. I'm never going back to feeling that way ever again.
Feeling very happy and a wee bit smug today .
Here are the before and after photos.

whothefuckhas5children · 02/12/2017 14:39
well done!!!
misscheery · 02/12/2017 14:42
Bloody hell, OP, you're hot!!!
JesusTapdancingChrist · 02/12/2017 14:54
Thanks everyone 😄.
I'm actually at the upper end of the 'Healthy' BMI category right now (24.7) but not sure I want to lose anymore weight as I think any curves I have left will go with it 😕.
misscheery - thank you 😂. While I'd love to say that health was my main motivator, it has actually been second to vanity .
I've ended up single at 37 and just felt so frumpy and totally invisible and I hated it. I just couldn't face approaching 40 while remaining so unhappy with my appearance.
Have been back on the dating scene for the last few weeks and let's just say I definitely don't feel invisible anymore 😂.
misscheery · 02/12/2017 16:41
@JesusTapdancingChrist holy shit! 37? Congrats, OP! I hope you meet the love of your life!
buggerthebotox · 02/12/2017 16:43
Very well done, op. You look bloody amazing. Congratulations.
Nomoresugar · 02/12/2017 16:52
Well done you. Keep up the great work, your body and your mind will thank you for it.
I was 11 stones in August. I'm 5ft4 and to this day weigh 10st 4lbs. My goal weight is 9stones 7lbs.
JesusTapdancingChrist · 02/12/2017 18:06
Well done @Nomoresugar. That's a fab achievement .
I've set my new goal at 9st 10lb in MFP so will see how I feel if and when I get there.
Period started today and I had 2 Greggs mince pies for dinner so it might not be anytime soon 😂.
stevie69 · 02/12/2017 18:09
Wow. You look AMAZING
Can I borrow the dress?
Well done, you. Fantastic.
Floralnomad · 02/12/2017 18:11
Congrats OP , you really don’t look like you need to lose anymore . I’ve lost 3 stone this year over a slightly longer period and have also got my BMI into the healthy range at 24.7 , like yourself I’ve completely changed my eating habits and I think that is the key to lasting success .
beela · 02/12/2017 18:40
Well done op!
My stats are similar to yours - I am 39, just over 5'3, and weighed 12 stone 8 at the start of the year. Like you, I was bursting out of my size 14 clothes. I'm down to 9 stone 13 now, and I feel so much better, and I love my size 10 jeans! I wish I had taken some before pictures but I think I was too busy avoiding the cameras. You look fab.
laurzj82 · 02/12/2017 18:45

Sodaface · 02/12/2017 21:07
Wow this is one of the best transformation pics I’ve ever seen!! You look amazing.... well done.
Can I ask how you achieved it in 16 weeks??
JesusTapdancingChrist · 02/12/2017 22:43
Aw thanks everyone 😄😄
Soda Re: how I've done it - the answer is strict Calories In/Calories Out and logging everything with MFP. I eat around 1000-1100 calories a day. Any more and I gain weight (I'm really quite small).
I haven't cut out any specific foods completely (apart from takeaways) but do mostly eat lean protein/eggs + vegetables for most meals. Wholemeal bread/skinny wraps/wholemeal pittas for lunch with loads of salad + chicken or turkey.
Lots of healthy fats from avocado/nuts/seeds. Love full fat Greek yoghurt. Really good dark chocolate (Willie's Cacao 😍) for evening sweet cravings.
I avoid processed food/beige carbs/fatty sauces as much as possible.
3 litres of water a day at least.
Lots of exercise but fairly low key stuff like long hikes with the dog, yoga before bed. Tried the gym but hated it. I never eat back exercise calories though, I just see them as a bonus to my weight loss.
Oh and I weigh myself every 2-3 days. I know this isn't for everyone but it makes life much easier for me knowing where I'm at.
I still have a few drinks when I go out but never at home (this was an issue before - was putting away a bottle of wine I'm a sitting ).

Bloody hell, well done I think I saw your picture of the dresss on another thread and thought how good you looked but that's all the more impressive knowing about the weight loss.
NoelNiki · 03/12/2017 10:34
