I only need to lose a stone, but instead of losing it i have put a bit on.

I won't lie and say i have been trying really hard cos i haven't, i'm hopeless. I just feel soooo hungry all the time.

Today i've had......

Breakfast : 3 pieces of toast & 1 bowl of Cheerios
with full fat milk.

Lunch : 4 Ryvita with Philadelphia, can of diet coke and pk salt and vinegar crisps.

Dinner : Chicken, boiled pots and veg, bowl of choccie ice cream.

I will almost certainly have something else later too.

Is there any hope ??

I really can't afford to spend money or time cooking seperate meals for me, so how do i do it without feeling like my throats been cut.

Nutcracker I have almost a stone to lose as well. I borrowed slimming world books of sil and found it pretty good . We went away for a week and I put on 2lb .
I think reading your diet today-lol you could try swapping cheerios for a more filling higher fibre cereal. Replace toast with one bannana . Ryvitas are not filling you up enough , try a sandwich with 2 slices of wholemeal bread and fruit. Tea sounds much better but not icecream ( or very little). Eat more fruit and drink loads of water
Anyway I don't know why I am giving advice as I have been stuck at the same weight for ages. Imo a class is great for the support, I can't get to a sw in the day and dh works evenings . Try it if you can.
Btw has anyone an access code for sw?
Good Luck Nutcracker- I will be following this thread as I could do with some inspiration

Thanks Colette.
You are right about breakfast, i do need something that fills me up as otherwise i am starving by 10 am and then pick.

I know i should be exercising too and have brought my dads air walker thingy off him (am waiting for him to deliver it).

My brother reckons those inflatable balls are good, but i can't see how. Anyone got one ??

I'm doing a walk every lunchtime for 40 minutes before I eat. Just try to walk more, school, work etc. Don't know where you are and I know it might be hard if you are in the middle of nowhere.

JiminyCricket · 21/07/2004 19:44

I've got an inflatable ball thingy, don't think it will help you lose weight tho iyswim its more for exercises to tone your muscles and its seriously good for tummy muscles even if you just sit on it to watch tv!!(really)I think some of them come with suggested exercises, can't say I ever get around to any..

Also in no position to give advice, but do you have a set snack in between meals (fruit/cereal bar/ light yoghurt)? If you eat approx every two hours you're less likely to feel starving and pick /or overeat at your next meal, even though it sounds like you'll be eating more overall. DH has been away all week so I haven't been able to get to the gym makes me sooo moody and def not helping me lose any weight.

nutcracker · 21/07/2004 19:59

Thats what i need, something to tone my stomach muscles. How on earth does it work though ??

I do walk to school and back, which is about a hour a day all together.

Hi there.

I have just pointed your day on WW online. It comes to 29.5. 10-12stone you are allowed 20 points, under 10 stone you are only allowed 18 points, so either way you have gone well over for the day.

Try swapping your full fat milk for semi-skimmed or even skimmed milk. Swap cheerios for a high fibre cereal. Your beakfast worked out at 10 points.

Try philidelphia Light or extra light rather than the full fat one. Lunch was 14.5 points (10 of these were the full fat philly)

Your dinner worked out at only 5 points.

If you want I have a list of WW point on a spreadsheet that I can email to you.

nutcracker · 21/07/2004 20:32

Ahh thanks for that MB. I do have a points list that Hula sent me.
It was low fat Philly, forgott to say.

Am shocked how over points i am.

Will make sure i have a good look at the list later.

I am 9 stone, is that still 18 points a day ??

Hi NC - can i ask how tall you are? 9 stone sounds pretty good to me! I was trying to be good all day but then went and had lasagne and oven chips for tea - naughty

JiminyCricket · 25/07/2004 17:12

Exercise ball - it works on your core stability muscles i think ie. when you are sitting on it or exercising on it all the time your core muscles have to work to keep you in balance, so you get really toned if you use it enough.

nutcracker · 25/07/2004 17:17

Vict17 - Hi, I am 5'3. I think it is more toning up i need than actually weight loss.
I have brought an abdominal excersier today for a fiver, so i will be trying that later.

JC - Yeah that would make sense. I may see if i can pick one up tommorow as Boots and Next had them in their sales.
