Does anyone want to join me? I’d love to lose 7lbs before the 15th December. Going to use MFP but also log what I eat here as it makes me more accountable. Will start tomorrow if anyone wants to join me.

ps - my approach will be to eat a bit less and move a bit more.

Everyonesgotanopinion Wow! That’s a fantastic achievement.

Mindful of weigh in tomorrow, so resisted the urge to break into one of the kids’ selection boxes today...🤗

Lunch: baked potato, cottage cheese, coleslaw and sweetcorn
Natural live yoghurt
Dinner: h/m veggie chilli, rice and wheat tortilla
Couple of squares of 90% choc

Morning everyone,

Well I've not lost any weight Sad never mind, only started on Wednesday so maybe I'll have a good loss next week!

Today I think will be;

B: 2 boiled eggs
L: Tomato soup
D: Buffet at a party & drinks 🙈

I hardly ever drink tbh, only a handful of times in the last year really.

No loss here too - but no gain either. It’s already been helpful posting on here. Has stopped me snacking on more than one occasion over the past couple of days...☺️

I weighed in at 10st 4.4lbs thia morning which is a crazy 3.4lb loss! My scales are usually really accurate but obviously I know that my weight can vary a bit from day to day but am really happy with that. I have been really strict with myself and have avoided all the usual snacking at work.

I am out for breakfast this am as it is my sister's 40th today so won't be the best start but am planning on going to the gym and not hitting the Friday night wine later so hopefully it will balance out!

Keep going everyone, the weekends are often the toughest!!

May I join in? Was thinking of starting a similar thread.

I am 13st. Lost 1.5st over past year but seem to have plateau'd a bit. Got xmas lunch soon and want to feel less bloated in first instance. But really I dont want to be carrying around this weight anymore. Fed up being the biggest person in the room 😢

My plan is to cut out fizzy drinks (other than sparkling water), chocolate and crisps.

I'm going to try to drink water or tea instead of having a snack. And if really still hungry after the water, have some fruit.

Eeek! Going to be so hard as there's normally constant food chocolates on the go in my work.

Good couple of days here. No weekend wine and have felt very in control of food. Went to the gym with DH last night while the DC were at Scouts but spent most of the time in jacuzzi and sauna (did manage a few lengths!) but have been back today for some cardio and core.

Feeling positive that I can do this which is nice as haven't felt like that in a couple of months.

Hope you're all staying on track Smile

Good to hear that some are staying on track, well done all! Early days here, but things going OK here, not done any exercise because I am fighting off a cold, but made some sensible food choices and spent a lot of yesterday afternoon cooking soups and stew to freeze and then take to work, which should be good both for purse and waistline.
I have dug out a dress from the back of the wardrobe that I really like which I would like to wear to a Christmas do on the 16th December, it actually more or less fits and looks nice, but would definitely look even better minus the 7lbs. So that can be my motivation.
Busy with kids stuff most of the day but should be able to fit in a gym session this evening. I usually just go on the bikes and treadmill (I am a lapsed runner, but can't face going out in the cold these days) but friends have told me that I should try the weights if I want to loose weight and tone up. Hmm. Is that true?
Hope everybody is having a good weekend out there.

Oh kaytee sorry to hear that. Flowers its 80% diet tho so hopefully you will be able to make some good food choices.

I'm happy with how the weekend went especially as it included a trip to the cinema and a birthday party. Looking. Forward to weighing in..

Kaytee saw your other thread earlier hope you are doing ok.

10st 2 this morning wahoo. Going in the right direction at least. Can't wait to be back in the 9s. Or should I say the size 10s Grin unlikely to be this year though I'd say.

Well done two on the loss Grin

I am a daily weigher when not just thinking fuck it and eating whatever I want and so know I haven't lost anything else since Friday but at least I didn't gain over the weekend!

Did a quick gym session tonight too, trying to get back in the habit of going.

Kaytee hope you are ok, like PP said it is mostly food choices so all is not lost!!

I think I may starve in the hospital anyway, the foods completely inedible and they don't make toast. 😂

As kaytee thats awful. Hope at least it was a spectacular fall that can be retold with embellishment to garner all the sympathy you deserve?

And yes, it's all about what you eat. No toast though Shock bet the nurses have a toaster in their staff room

I'm doing ok. No fizzy pop and minimal fizzy water. Survived a nightshift which had no treats thankfully. But my periods have started and I want ALL the chocolate. I am limiting myself to two wee daim bites though. After my dinner. So a dessert if you will.

Was going to make soup today. But the water is off. Dunno what to do now. Might just take small child and I off out for lunch. Or just make scrambled eggs. That's probably a better idea

I forgot I was away visiting friend this weekend, it involved a meal in a restaurant, pizza and Chinese takeaway 😬. I have put on 1lb so having a fast day and drinking lots of water.

NewYearNewNickname · 29/11/2017 07:37

Hope the fast day went ok Lucked, not sure I could manage that!

Am feeling a bit deflated this morning. After weighing in at 10st 4.4lbs on Fri I stayed the same Sat & Sun, was 10st 4.6lbs Mon & Tues which was fine but today I have jumped back up to 10st 6.2lbs. I have been so good food wise, for example yesterday I ate an apple and a bowl of porridge for breakfast (260 cals) a salad and drink for lunch (256 cals) one biscuit (40 cals) and a bag of French Fries (93 cals). Dinner was a veggje stew with 2 veggie sausages, don't know the cals of the stew but the sausages are 130 for the two. After dinner I had part of a granola bar for around 100 cals.

This is fairly typical atm, eating between 1000 - 1300 daily, no alcohol, no chocolate etc. Have also been to the gym Fri, Sat & Mon, didn't do loads any visit but did something!

Anyway I am just venting, now it is out of my system I just need to get one with it and have another good day today. Am then off for the rest of the week Smile

Hope the rest of you are doing better than me!!

Hope the fast day went well lucked
Newyear keep up the good work and you will get a whoosh soon. Could br water retention from the increased exercise. Needing a number two! Don't get disheartened just yet.

I'm still 10st 2 today. Yesterday wasn't the best food wise but calories I managed to stay around maintenance calories so hopefully back on track today. Did a bit of spring cleaning yesterday and hope to continue that today and maybe get a bit of exercise too.
I have to go to the doc tomorrow and I know she will weight me and my bmi is officially overweight now so not looking forward to that. It's barely over 25 so a few pounds will Reign it back in but still not looking forward to it.

Forgot to weigh in yesterday but happy with 10st 3lbs this morning. All going in the right direction at least and still hoping for under 10st by the 20th!!

Hope the drs appt was ok two, I'm sure they see plenty of people with bmi much higher than yours!!

Hope people are still on track Smile

I had lost 2lb yesterday so happy with that (well 3 if you include the one I had put on by Monday). Will aim for 3lb this week which would take me to a stone lost since September.

Report
catlover99 · 02/12/2017 15:09

keytee that really stinks! I hope you feeling better and out of hospital by now.

I weighed in yesterday morning, and have lost 2lbs, taking me to 10st 5lbs, so still 5lbs to go until 16 December meaning I am more or less on track. Next week could be more tricky as I have two work events and also two mince pie party things. I don't like mince pies, so that could be OK though Smile.

Hope all is going well with everybody else.

Weighed myself this morning. Was nightshift over thurs/fri/sat. There's no point weighing then. Nightshift bloat. It's a thing. Even if you eat good food.

Anyway. 12st 11 this morning. So 3lbs lost. Good start. Need to keep it up.

Chocolate and crisps have crept in but as part of meals not as snacks. Have managed to stick to drinking water/tea or eating fruit for snacks. Had ONE single can of diet coke to pep me up for nightshift. It didn't work and I didn't enjoy it. Huge progress there for me. So need to keep going. Will eliminate crisps completely this week.

Any ideas what to replace them with?

How's are you kaytee? Out of hospital now I hope?

Well done losers. We are all doing well.
I'm looking forward to weighing in tomorrow hoping to see a loss on the scales and even one pound will take me to the healthy bmi zone. Fingers crossed.
Never got weighed at the appointment.. As my friend thinks I have a bit of body issue and the healthcare people won't look at me and see someone big but who knows. Hopefully by the next time I am back there I won't be so concerned with my weight.
Can't believe it's December. Lots of treats coming up food wise so I need to make this a good week

10st 1. Clothes starting to fit a bit better can't wait to see 9 on the scales. Hopefully by next weekend.

Well done two

I often feel I kill threads on here tbh. My writing style must send people to sleep. Blush

Struggling this week. Not with the fizzy juice, just with remembering to not snack between meals. It's a hard habit to break.

I also cant believe it's december. Time has just flown by this year Shock

As for body issues. I think everyone has them to some extent. It's a multi-billion pound industry after all. As is the food industry. Just need to look at the size of the fresh food aisles vs the prepackaged food in supermarket

In other words dont be too hard on yourself. I hate how I look so avoid pictures but I'm trying to accept how I look just now is evolving and just get on with it. Otherwise my girl will have no pictures of us together.

Well done two, I can't wait to see a 9 as well but even though I feel like I am staying on track (@1200 cals per day) and have only had one glass of wine at a 40th birthday party on Sat the weight still isn't shifting!!! Hoping this is just pre-totm weight as I was due on Fri but they are becoming a bit all over the place. I normally put on just before then drop a lb or two overnight so hoping the same will happen in the next day or two.

There is nothing wrong with your style comeagain , just takes a few regular posters to keep a thread alive. I will definitely keep posting until 20th which is when we go to in-laws in Ireland - alcohol may be needed then!!!
