How to pick your goal weight query?

After Becca's fantastic posting about reaching her goal weight it made me wonder, is there any magic formula to choosing your goal weight? Do you just know when to stop?

I am 5' 7" and thought I would be happy at 11st 2lbs, I am now 11st exactly and am starting to think about 10st 7lbs, which would be great as I was this weight about 10 years ago but I am slightly concerned that if I get to 10st 7lbs I'll want to go to 10st, etc, etc and perhaps end up with a problem the other way.

Any comments/advice welcome.

Have a look at the weightwatchers website, they have a section there where you pop in your height and they calculate the ideal weight range for you. As long as you are within that you will be fine, good luck. (I have started ww again today so have been trawling the website!)

I know exactly what you mean Demented.

I am 5' 5" and am now 10st 1lb. I'm really pleased with what I've achieved, (and am know well within 'healthy BMI' but I feel I should go for a bit more yet, as I still have big bum, flabby tummy, chubby legs, etc. But I don't know what to aim for.

I look forward to reading any comments you get Demented!

The top weight for my height is 11st 6lbs so I am fairly comfortably within that now, I have noticed the last couple of lbs seem to have made a difference to my stomach (thank goodness, the last 30 barely touched it ), I would be happy with a bit more off my stomach, so perhaps that would be the answer just to wait until the tummy looks better.
