Would you expect me to lose weight eating like this?

Predominantly low carb veg based diet with smal amount of protein and lashings of olive oil.
I feel really good on it but I'm wondering if the oil will scupper the weight loss even though I'm trying to keep it to low carb veg and no sugar.

Can you give an example of a menu for a day?

If your carbs are low enough then the fat won't automatically cause you to store fat but you still need to watch your calories. Things like Atkins/LCHF naturally control your calorie intake because you go into ketosis and you lose much of your appetite.
Are you tracking your food? You won't lose weight if you eat too many calories, regardless of how healthy those calories are.

You have to exert more calories than you consume. Obviously eating healthily helps digestion and provides energy to burn these calories. Otherwise it’s pretty flexible

Download myfitnesspal and see how many calories you have a day.

I have to admit I don't want to get caught up in weighing and measuring but obviously will if I need to.
today I had;
Steamed fish on salad
Smoked makeral with lots of veggies
Two cups of herbal tea with some milk
A Waitrose latte
The salads were lettuce, beetroot, carrot, sweet corn, peppers with a balsamic and olive oil dressing.

Not sure because the protein is also low here. Protein must be high always and you can even completely ditch carbs. While I was losing weight I followed the ketogenic diet and it worked wonders. The idea is to 'kill fat with fat'. By consuming fat rich foods like avocado, nuts, cheese and protein rich foods like egg white, you make your body feel full. Then there won't be any room for carbs which is the culprit for weight gain. Try this for a month with 20 mins of brisk walking and share your progress here :)
