I'm going away on 21st August for my first hot holiday in a while, and I'd like to lose about 7 pounds before I go - anybody got any tips? Was going to to low/no carb, low/no fat with lots of protein (chicken, tuna) and salad. Not sure whether or not to include fruit.

Do low carb, I lost 7lbs in a week.

Did you cut out fruit?

Low carb will work well short term but it'll mainly be glycogen and water that you lose (basically glucose water stored in your muscles and liver) plus I find eating low carb reduces water retention anyway. It does make you appear thinner but it'll mostly just go straight back on as soon as you eat carbs. How strict you need to be varies from person to person

Well....if I look thinner for my holiday I think I'll be happy with that.

Low carb all the way! Cut out the usual bulky carbs, junk food and also fruit and milk. I've lost 2.5 stone in 2 months.

1000 cals , between 10 and 15000 steps and 30 mins of some sort of exercise, I go on an exercise bike. Loads of water.
Just like can't see the low carb actually makes me lose weight then gain it back and more as soon as I eat a piece of bread which is so shit for coming back.
I find low cal much more sustainable. I've lost 2 stone since April and only put on 3lb when on holiday which I lost in the first week that I was back. I had been doing low carb for a few years before holidays and gained about 10lb every time.
