Small amount to lose REGROUP

PaintingOwls · 01/08/2017 20:52

A few months ago I was on a support thread for women who wanted to lose a small amount of weight but I have lost track of it and thought it was worth trying to re-group!

I lost 6kg in 3 months and dropped a dress size.

However, with the turn of the weather my appetite has turned ferocious and some of my good work is beginning to be undone Angry

I have eaten so much in the past 2 weeks that I have even abandoned MyFitnessPal as I can't face looking at how much I've eaten.

I also bought 2 new pairs of trousers for work so I really, really can't afford to gain weight again.

SO old small-amounters and new alike, welcome to the new support thread!

where hopefully I won't just be supporting myself

I've realised that all I need to do to lose weight is stop going to work!

I have a desk job but it's quite busy
This week I've eaten really well at home, been running twice, done Pilates and yoga and been cycling.

Unfortunately I've also spent 40 hours sitting on my arse hunched over a keyboard, eating cake and chocolate, skipping my lunch break but eating crap to make up for it and generally undoing all my good work.

Next week's mission is to take lunch and avoid the "cake cupboard". Also to stop ignoring my fitbit when it buzzes every hour.

Ahh so I started this thread and vanished / got distracted by life.

Went to Parkrun this morning and hurt my ankle quite badly, I had to walk/hobble to the finishing line. I am absolutely devastated, I won't be able to do anything for at least 2 weeks.

In terms of food - it was my birthday, and then Aunt Flow came to visit, so it's a bit of a chocolate catastrophe to be honest. I've planned tomorrow's meals, so I'll be back to sensible eating soon.

Weight this morning was 64.2kg.

Well done Owl.

That's a real shame Painting. Injuries suck, especially when you are trying to lose weight!

Weigh in day for me and I've lost 1.5lbs of the 3lbs I gained on holiday so am happy to be back on track. Now at 9s 11.5lbs with target of 9s.

problembottom · 12/08/2017 17:20

Can I join in too?

Height: 170cm
Current weight: 68kg
Goal weight: 63kg

My summer holiday in just over three weeks and I want to get as close to goal as I can by then. Been very good for nearly a week now and today in particular I'm craving junk. Keep telling myself it'll all be worth it when I'm looking good in my bikini!

PaintingOwls · 14/08/2017 16:37

Welcome, bottom!

Donald how did you get on with the cake/work situation?

Day late on my weigh in but 57kg so another 0.5kg gone. I know I am going to have to kick the wine to shift the last bit too but not sure I can manage it!

Oogle · 15/08/2017 10:01

I had a baaaaad weekend so have refused to step on the scales. P/T session this morning and we did legs - OMG. They haven't stopped shaking yet! Grin

Need to ditch the alcohol completely, I think. Meal planning has gone to pot too, so I need to do that as well.

OwlinaTree · 15/08/2017 20:20

Back to 58.3kg today, which is good news.
Today's food
B scrambled eggs, fruit, Shreddies, yoghurt
L salad with chicken and ham, bit of cheese, dressing, apple, orange.
Snacks apple, orange, banana, cappuccino
D pasta, meatballs, tomato veg sauce, bit of cheese
S berries and yoghurt, maybe a little bit of chocolate?
10,000 steps, day 5 of plank challenge.

PaintingOwls · 24/08/2017 10:15

Really bad week for me - I have sprained my ankle and every step ie agony. This will be the second week in a row that I miss Parkrun.

Right now I'm just focusing on maintaining my weight.

Oh no Painting that's bad luck :(

I ate absolute tonnes on holiday, swam a fair bit and did some water sports but nowhere near enough to offset the massive ice cream addiction. When I weighed yesterday I was surprise to see 65kg (same as pre holiday) but I think it's the scales playing tricks again (only the other way around) as I feel literally bloated and have definitely gained.
Back on good behaviour now though.

Can I join in too please? I've been slowly putting on weight for the last year....nice thing is my boobs have grown again but half my clothes don't fit and muscle has def been replaced with fat! Not a massive amount to lose but need motivation! Am back on MFP and trying to keep to under 1200kcals most days or thereabouts

Height 175cm
Starting/current weight 141lbs
Goal weight 133 lbs

(Am v small framed, can happily maintain and feel good at 133 but once got down to 131 and looked a million years older so I know the weight has to be muscle as well)

Justnowthisone · 25/08/2017 10:17

Can I join too please!

I am nearly there having lost 3:6 stone post DS 22 months.

Now just need to lose my last 4 kilos before I fly across the world in a month to see my family in India :)

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 27/08/2017 19:12

I need to join in this thread. The school holidays aren't being terribly helpful at present though!

I'm a healthy weight but have the best part of a spare half stone above my optimum happy zone which seems to have become a habit, and I do notice it when I'm running. I don't want to be lugging it around a half marathon course in mid-October!

Currently loitering around 9st 2-3 and would rather be at 8st 10.

I suspect that my action plan needs to be reduce sugars/ refined carbs and increase veg. Easier said than done with two carb happy veg dodging children hanging around!

SuperDiaperBaby · 29/08/2017 07:18

Missed weigh in last week as I was away but pleased to say still managed to be at 55.9 kg this morning. To be honest all my losses are by restricted eating which is not going to be much fun/sustainable so I am going to work hard at moving more this week and dodging the call of the wine bottle. Well done everyone sticking with it and hi to everyone joining. Holidays almost over - good moment to make some changes.

MoleGrey · 30/08/2017 17:12

Glad I found this thread! I previously did slimming world and went from 70kg to 59kg (165cm). In the past two years I've gone up to 66kg and want to get back to 59kg. I am not sure whether to rejoin SW or just try and stick to a plan. Unfortunately I suffer from bad willpower and I like the accountability SW gives me!

SuperDiaperBaby · 04/09/2017 09:14

Hi Mole I'm still on it - not sure if anyone else is but agree accountability helps (hence posting here) Start of the new school year here so a good time to make new resolutions. I have had a busy but non active week and struggled to eat less so weighed in at 55.9 again this morning. At least it is not a gain. Determined to shift the last 2 kilos as I know it will motivate me to make other changes in my life.

DeliveredByKiki · 04/09/2017 15:59

me too SuperDiaperBaby

After 2 weeks I've managed to shift 5 of my 10lbs I wanted to lose, which will bring me just under goal weight, know that when I try to work out maintenance I'll prob put a little back on, and I want to get into more regular exercise to then tone up. But feeling motivated!

I'm using MFP and trying to average over a week 12000 kcals/day, which this week meant a few days on the lower end, a few around 1000 and then not worrying too much yesterday but when I added it up it then came to a decent daily average. It's what's working for now, and is easy to do as I'm really busy with work

I just want to break the cycle of the last 2 years of losing and gaining the same 10lbs!

OwlinaTree · 09/09/2017 23:18

Hi guys, glad it's going well for you all. Back to work now after the summer holidays, hoping that will help me get into a good routine. Currently 58 kg, want to lose 3kg by end of October, about 6 weeks? Do you think that's possible?

SuperDiaperBaby · 11/09/2017 10:59

Owlina must be doable - half a kilo a week for 6 weeks is a steady loss. Myself I managed the first 3 weeks but I've stalled. Still 56kg as I was last week. I know I can get lower but wondering if I have the will power. However term has started so I am going to harden my resolve and try again this week.

OwlinaTree · 13/09/2017 07:03

Seem to be stuck at the moment, grrr. Haven't weighed yet this am, but really hoping to get below 58kg this week for more than a day. I'm in a quandary as I don't want to eat any less than I am really, wondering if I might be at my lowest for now as I'm still breastfeeding twice a day.
