Am I being realistic?

Hi

Just want to get some perspective! Am I being realistic as in feeling a bit like I'm not getting anywhere.

2 stone post baby weight to loose to get back to pre pregnancy size. (4 months pp).

So far I have lost 4lb in three weeks and depending on the day 2 extra lbs which go on and off?!

I have been doing lots of exercise - joined a gym and have been most evenings for 3 weeks. Do Zumba 2 times a week, Pilates 2 times a week, normal gym once a week. Have also done 15 mins Pilates at home every day for a week and prior to that was doing sit ups etc.

My diet - I have cut out all bread/potatoes except some boiled and most snacks.

Am I being realistic that this should loose the 2 stone or not really?

I get very little sleep but am quite down about my figure and only having leggings that fit me.

I am 5'5 and want to be 9 stone as I was before? X

It sounds like you're doing the right things, all that exercise will definitely make you feel better and can help improve your shape - maybe stop relying on the scales so much? I read something the other day about what a useless method of measuring fat loss weighing scales were (although, I must confess I've hopped on mine this morning!).

Maybe take a closer look at what you're eating - just work out exactly how much you're eating over a few days and see if it works out the right amount to lose weight Having said that though, you've got a 4 month old to look after. Perhaps just try your best to eat healthy, nutritious food, keep up with the exercise and don't rush it?

Hi

Thank you for your kind response. I will write down what I'm eating to try to get a better understanding...on the plus side I'm not eating mountains of chocolate which is my down fall haha!

X

Losing weight is much more about diet than exercise.
Depends what you snack on. What meals you have. What your portion sizes are like. Try my fitness pal?
