I know long term it's not good, but just booked a holiday and I'm two stone overweight. I'm so anxious about being a blob on the beach. I have 40 days. What the best way to look better?

You can lose a lot of weight quickly with slimming world if you stick to it 100%. You can shift a stone or more in 6 weeks easy. It probably won't stay off though.

The military doet is very effective 3 day diet. I lost 4lb in 3 days. I would do it once a week until you go away.

The 5:2 works like a charm. And it is proven to be good for you. Lowers blood sugar and can reverse diabetes... it's not a fad. But you have to be able to fast for 2 days a week. And if you can you are my hero 🏆

A good way is to give up ALL caffeinated\fizzy drinks and alcohol of course Grin drink plenty of water and green tea, I like green and mint tea bags it's tastier than just green.

Also eat fruit on an empty stomach, good with seeds and or nuts though. Don't eat carbs and protein at the same meal. I lost loads of weight quite quickly, doing this, I wasn't really trying either! I did it for health!

I really need the counselling side of things as I can never stick to diets

Go Girl!
Be prepared to challenge your thinking and lifestyle in lots of ways.
Recently did 24 lbs in six weeks so know first hand you can make a significant difference.
Consider this 40 day project as a brand new part time job.
It's a job that is seven days a week and you have to commit.
Get your friends and family to support and encourage.
Buy a Fitbit.
Sort out and find the eating route that suits you best .
Personally I did 16:8 and read the Dr Xand TV book
The 1000 calories a day bit is right.
To lose a considerable amount fast you also need to do incremental exercise even if it is just walking about.
But it is a lot of walking about.
My extra walking was two full hours a day. I had to get up and hour earlier to achieve.
Also no bread, no chocolate and virtually no alcohol.
I also had to buy a pair of trainers, lycra capris and a hoolahoop Grin

user1468 if you need the counselling side have a look at the Paul Mackenna way of eating (i Can Make You Thin) I lost the 3st. that had gradually crept on with it and still do it. It's great for support.
