did you have a nice time agalch - no drunken posts on here?

Dottydot · 25/03/2007 09:59

Jackie - thanks! I feel bad when I don't post, and I'm feeling bad anyway, so all in all I just feel bobbins...

But, had a really good day yesterday and although it's early, today's going well as well!

JackieNo · 25/03/2007 10:48

Noo dottydot - don't feel bad for anything you do or don't do on this thread - we've all got enough other stuff to cope with without that. I like the fact that its a relaxed atmosphere, but also no blame (well, sometimes people blaming themselves, but not other people), and just loads of good positive support when it's needed.

I'm not sure what we're going to do today - I want to watch Northanger Abbey on ITV tonight, and have just started re-reading it, but I won't get through it by this evening. Well, not without completely ignoring the rest of the family, anyway.

Hi everyone
I am going to come back and join you soon!
If I'm not here in 3 weeks someone please come and shout at me!!

agalch · 25/03/2007 10:57

Morning all

Yup had a fab night.Food was to die for(dp knows the owner) so we got big portions and free booze lol.

Friend and i and dp sat up till 3am drinking and talking so was really nice.I'm not into pubs/strippers/l-plates etc so just what i wanted.Other friends have said i am really boring but hey who cares what anyone else thinks.

I am trying to get dp to ask a friend or brother or whoever to have a night out next week but so far he's refusing.Would rather be here with me and the dc's.

Anyhow off to do some housework and make dd tidy the sunroom, was meant to be at the gym early this morning but couldn't be bothered.

Have a good day all xx

JackieNo · 25/03/2007 11:58

Glad you had a good time agalch. It does sound lovely. TBH 'traditional' hen nights don't always look like much fun. This sounds great.

Whoopsfallenoveragain - it'll be lovely to see you whenever . You don't have to post weights at all.

OP posts:
whoopsfallenoveragain · 25/03/2007 12:05

I know but I need to!
my clothes are still tight I thought it was getting big early from the pregnancy but obviously it was my overeating!!

suejonez · 25/03/2007 15:02

agalch - I have rarely been to a good traditional hen night - that you had a good time is whats important and sounds like you did.

ForcesSweetheart · 25/03/2007 19:53

Sounds like a lovely way to spend your hen night! I had my hen night at Big Girls Paradise which definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea (my skinny mates for example) but it was where Andy and I met. I reckon it's one of the few times you should get to do exactly what you want, as it's your big day.

littlemisssensible · 26/03/2007 12:15

Hi All!

I got a crown!!!! I'm soooo happy, I can't believe it! I got a crown!!!!!

Sorry I've not been around, it's been a busy few days!

I'm glad you enjoyed your 'hen night' Agalch, I didn't have a big party either although my MIL insisted I go out with her and my SIL's (4 of them) and some of her friends to a pub with a band which was a bit excruiating!

Hope everyone else is having a good week so far!

I got a crown!!!!!

suejonez · 26/03/2007 15:42

well done LMS - it was worth sloggin on when you weren;t doing so well wasnt it?

littlemisssensible · 26/03/2007 16:39

Certainly was Sue!

Now I've just got to remind myself of this whenever I start feeling down during those inevitable weeks/months when things aren't going quite so well! Easier said than done though!

suejonez · 26/03/2007 20:13

don;t worry - we will be here to remind you - have not only the body but the memory of an elephant . Actually its a little more sylph-like than an elephant these days but you know what I mean!

Dottydot · 26/03/2007 22:09

Hi all - I had a good day today, apart from the fact that I was at an external venue with work all day and they didn't have sweetners for the hot drinks - so my 6 coffees all had 2 sugars in...

I'm there for the rest of the week so am packing my own sweetners or I'll have put on half a flipping stone by Thursday!!

JackieNo · 28/03/2007 10:41

I've been pretty useless this week. Mind you, on Sunday evening, watching Northanger Abbey, I did over-indulge on the so-called healthy snacks - too many dried plums, and really regretted it that night. Not pleasant. Now if I'd been eating chocolate, I wouldn't have had that problem. Years of practice have enabled me to eat vast amounts of chocolate with no ill-effects.

OP posts:
agalch · 28/03/2007 15:43

Hiya all

Not been good at all this week.Promised myself after my huge amounts of Indian food/red wine/tia maria i would be sensible and eat salads all week.Of course i haven't done that and will be very surprised if i haven't put on at least 2/3lbs this week.

Got my final dress fiting tomorrow so hoping it will actually still zip up lol.

If it still fits me i will def have to be good from now tuill the wedding or else i could be half a st heavier and be bursting out of my dress

Anyhoo off to see what dd1 is up to,she is much too quiet to be doing anything good

suejonez · 29/03/2007 13:42

I 've emailed - not such a bad week for me though could do better. Jackie 0 nice try but not convincing what you mean re choc is no IMMEDIATE bad effects!

JackieNo · 29/03/2007 13:44

Well yes, I guess so, sue. No stomach cramps and hideous wind. Just a horrible feeling of guilt. Will weigh once I've picked DD up from school later.

OP posts:
ForcesSweetheart · 29/03/2007 19:25

just a quickie note as dd getting tired and fractious. 5lb loss this week is purely down to tummy bug of some kind giving me days of serious d&v (big thank you to alphalolly for being mummy to my DD for a day while I lay in bed and wretched)

suejonez · 29/03/2007 19:28

it's an ill wind FS

sorry you've been ill though...

JackieNo · 29/03/2007 22:02

Poor you ForcesSweetheart. Hope you feel better soon.

I've stayed the same, which is a blimmin miracle considering the amount of chocolate I've consumed this week. Gone a bit out of control again.

Sue - are you happy to do the weights this week, or shall I?

OP posts:
Dottydot · 29/03/2007 22:03

woo-hoo!! I've lost 5lbs this week!!! Have been very good tracking and hit my 2 stone mark at WW so got a pebble for my troubles!

I'm so relieved I've got back on track again - only another 28.5lbs before I reach goal... (I'll be happy with another stone off!)

JackieNo · 29/03/2007 22:04

Wow dotty - could be a tie for the crown between you and ForcesSweetheart at this rate. Well done.

OP posts:
agalch · 30/03/2007 08:53
