This will seem like a negative somewhat mainly post but I'm stuck and after another sports day surrounded by svelte, toned mums in hot pants and vest tops and tanned, toned dads in shorts and tight tshirts I feel like a bloated whale. I'm also hormonal but that's nether here nor there.
I find I start a diet, shift between 7-14lbs quickly and then it just stops. No amount of ploughing on or rejigging helps.
I had great success with SW the first time, I lost 3 stone and then stopped dead. Tried it since and lost not a bean.
Low carb was the same, I lost the same 3 stones again and then nothing, and now in my 6th week of doing it again for from scratch I actually weight a few pound more than I did to begin with.
Calorie counting often sees me lose nothing at all as does weight loss replacement shakes.
So now I'm stuck. I eat mainly non processed diet of veg/fruit ( a lot of fruit admittedly which I know is sugar) meat and a small amount of dairy.
I tend to eat home baked stuff at the weekends and have a glass of wine on a Friday/Sat eve but only 1.
I love to cook and bake so I'm not afraid of cooking from scratch.
I'm limited to what I can do to keep active, I have Elthers Danlos Syndrome so have to be very careful with my joints or a stroll through the woods can leave me in agony for a week, I do make sure I do some walking every day though even if it's 10-15 mins around the block (better than nothing) I can't jog or run and aerobics/yoga/Pilates are all out for me without being supervised by a specialist physio which I cannot afford.
I have recently paid out for a food intolerance screening after doing low carb and gradually switching back to eating carbs I have felt so unwell, like a permanent brain fog, pain and skin outbreaks. I'm not sure how reliable these companies are but my hair/saliva and swab from my cheek came back saying I was intolerant to Gluten and Yeast, so I'm not sure how to work this into my diet if at all.
I also have a mild heart condition, the same thing that eventually killed my mum at the age of 40, I don't want to go that way.
I am very overweight. I am 5ft on a tall day but weigh 11.5 stone. I'm still a size 12 though because I have a real hourglass figure, huge hips and bust but a tiny waist. I'm quite an odd shape though because my wrists are minuscule and I have tiny feet and hands but wide shoulders
I'm trying to put in all info I can as not to miss anything or be accused of drip feeding later on.
We're on a very tight shopping budget but I have access to a good cheap green grocer, butcher and fishmonger.
Any advice would be great because I'm going round in circles and getting nowhere even slowly!
