Blood sugar diet if not diabetic or prediabetic?

I need to lose 3 stones but my blood sugar levels are normal. Is this a good diet for me or should I really do the 5:2 diet?

I have done it, not diabetic or pre diabetic. Lost nearly 5st in less than a year. It is pretty hardcore but if you stick to it it really works!
Good luck!

Wow Hairspray ! So what did you do after the initial 8 weeks? Did it also alter your tastebuds and what you like eating?

I did 8 weeks, extended to 12, didn't really bother at all in December, then stopped calorie counting in Feb and switched to a 5:2 approach in April

So September- November hard core BSD - not calorie counting at the weekend though just stuck to principles.
December, vaguely stuck to principles when not eating mince pies
January hardcore BSD
Feb ditched the 800 cals but stuck to principles all the time
April started allowing myself more off plan stuff at the weekend, not going mad though!
About 1/2 a st from my final goal now so considering adding in a 500 cal fast day to get to the end! or just dropping back to hard core BSD.

So what would you say your maintenance regime would be?

Not sure! Still have that last little bit to go, and then I have to work out maintaining!

Probably something like principles in the week relaxed on weekends with wiggle room if it starts to creep on or if I am still losing.

Never been on a diet before I started this so I am just finding my way as I go.
