Who's up for another fresh start tomorrow

It's Monday tomorrow so please come and join me with a big fresh start.

I am fifty, 5'5 and probably need to lose around twenty one pounds. I'm not sure of my exact weight but it was 10'7 a couple of weeks ago. I would be happy to be 9 stone. Under 10stone would be a massive achievement.

I am very wobbly with a fat stomach and ass and I really need to do something about it.

My plan is to cut the crap out of my life and just make sensible food choices.

Please come and hold my hand. I will weigh in tomorrow and take it from there.

Morning everyone! Good to see some new faces here, and lots of positivity!
Not been too bad a week. I've weighed myself for the first time since starting and I'm sure my scars are wrong as apparently I'm now 10st 10lbs. So if they are correct my body must be saying "finally! You've stopped eating crap we can get back to where we need to be". Feeling much more heartened by it, and a bit of a loss spurs me on to keep going. MFP has been really useful for me, I like to see how much I'm eating, although the calorie content of some foods is astounding. No wonder I haven't been losing till now!

Scales not scars!

Hello all, can I join?
I was 12 st at New Year and the first .5st came off really quickly then I plateaued and lost my mojo.
Been 11.5st for a few months now and really want to get to 10.5 and go from there. I'm 5ft7.

Hi all,

I'm just dipping my toe into this weight loss malarkey - want to lose about 11lbs, but have been floundering this week. I start out logging everything on MFP but then get bored of it, or haven't planned my food properly so I end up starving by the evening and just eat what I fancy! I think I do better with a definite plan, but haven't found the right one for me yet. I'm just loitering around looking for inspiration at the moment...

Hi everyone, happy Saturday evening to you all.
Well done Teddy, your body is going to love your mind more than ever! You are going to be so successful over the next few weeks & months Flowers

Pickledonion I'm so impressed at your restraint, thats a teeny amount of food to consume, if you can do that then you have amazing self control. I'd honestly need more volume - genuine question, do you get all the fibre & nutrients that you need from that?

And of course, a warm welcome to flighty & flicky, its lovely to meet you Smile

Launderetta · 24/06/2017 20:23

How is everyone else doing?
Hope you've had some fun today (and ideally sun too but thats probably a bit too optimistic!)
If you're tempted to go crazy on the chips 'n'dips, booze or chocolate tonight, remember what you're trying to achieve in the long term, simply to reduce your body's fat % a bit.
So if you really enjoy eating or drinking then of course you could have some of your favourite things, thats not a problem, but don't beat yourself up for it afterwards: we all deserve a bit of pleasure after all!
(If you can avoid getting to "automatic" eating then perfect - that's when all the damage can be done & we don't really enjoy it either.)
Low-cal hugs to all!

I think so Laundertta I am mainly eating different types of salad for lunch with no dressing on, which I actually like. Then a lean protein with either steamed veg or a salad made with a different leaf base. Jacket potato once a week and dessert on a Saturday. I am at the point of needing new clothes as all mine are worn out so decided I want to buy things I like which at the moment I am to fat for so the weight has to come off. Weighed myself this morning and 11st 3lb. To be honest I was very hungry for the first 3 or 4 days but reeled up on water and now I am satisfied on what I eat and sometimes struggle to get finish my meals.

RubySlippers77 · 26/06/2017 09:37

Could you add some more protein to your lunch Pickled? Or do you have some at breakfast? It doesn't sound like you're eating a lot!

I had afternoon tea yesterday and feel rubbish today! Maybe I'm developing a cake allergy?!

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 26/06/2017 09:42

This is coincidence as I have clambered back on the wagon this morning too. I lost 10lbs last autumn and most of it has found its way back - I'm not going to let it get comfortable!

I'm 5'7 and 11st9 today. Would like to be 10st10 really. Which makes me sound chubby compared to some of the levels on this thread but I know I'd be good at that weight.

PickledOnion69 · 27/06/2017 09:52

No I don't eat breakfast. I find if I eat before 1pm I am hungrier and eat more through out the day. I have water and tea only before lunch. It has been 4 weeks now and seem to be satisfied with what I am eating during the day, just wish the weight would come off quicker 2-3lbs a week seems very slow.

Launderetta · 28/06/2017 20:31

How is everyone doing?

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 29/06/2017 06:32

3 days in and 2lbs off. Am hurting this morning due to going for the first run in many months yesterday - I used to run a couple of times a week but lost my mojo. However I am feeling better for getting in control of my eating again.

Day off work today so will get a good walk in and then help a friend move house. Important to stay busy as otherwise I eat too much on days off!
