Baby at the gym?

user1465146157 · 18/06/2017 01:24

Does anyone take their baby in a pram to the gym?! may be a silly question but a friend of mine does this?

Anyone else and is this possible, a) with the gym rules and b) generally with a baby - surely they would fuss and not let you focus on the task at hand?

if not - how do any of you manage to get to the gym with baby around?

i have a busy DH and no family nearby to babysit so finding fitness hard - just trying to walk more but need some cardio to make a difference i think.

Never seen a baby at the gym. But both the ones I USED to use had crèches in them that were only a few quid so that's where the babies were or obviously being taken care of by someone else.

It's not allowed at mine, I'd be surprised if many if any were really ok with it

Never seen this, I just bung him in the creche which he loooooves. Chose the gym because it had a creche.

Children under 12 are not allowed 9n the gym floor and no under 18 in the weights area.

Babies in push chaira would be a massive no no.

If you are struggling with cardio why not do something at home - Jillian Michaels, 21 Day Fix, Insanity or just whatever comes up on YouTube?

Can you look for a mum and baby class? Near me there are pilates, buggy boot camp and bounce fit classes you can bring your baby to.

Forgetting the madness of the idea anyway I have never been in a gym which would have space to move a buggy around as you move round

I go to Crossfit and people often bring their babies. There's generally someone willing to hold a baby and the mother might not through a whole workout, but usually manages to get most of it in.
