SLimming World, Wk 1, gained half a pound

yummycake123 · 13/06/2017 19:36

I rejoined SW last week after gaining the 12lbs I had lost end of last year ( and putting on some more...Confused)
It was my birthday the day I rejoined so I did exceed my syns that evening due to a Pizza Express Leggera pizza and a small cupcake. But I've been good the rest of the time.
Managed to put on 1/2 a pound! WTF. What's happening?? I feel really deflated.
Im averaging 10-11 syns per day, do I need to go lower than this??
I don't want to go off tack, I'll keep going but looking for som advise/motivation.

I always find that I gain/maintain when I'm due on because I get so bloated!

I also only try and have pasta/potatoes once a week because although they're a free food they always make me feel so frumpy so I tend to avoid them Smile

What are you eating? I know a few friends who put weight on on slimming world due to free foods.

I gain scale weight when I eat really healthy because of the amount of food I consume bulky and low calories. If I am eating unhealthy it tends to be high calorie such as chocolate. I know it's scale weight and not fat but still the demons play mind gains when I step on the scales.

Honestly if you count up your calories you will be shocked at how many calories you are eating.

Use mfp to keep an eye on it.

I lost 3 stone on sw and plateaued for a year.

My free cooked sw breakfast was 1400 calories!!

Lastqueen I kept a food diary, this is an example:
Breakfast during the week is porridge + an apple or ryvita + low cheese. Weekends I have egg on toast and tomatoes.
Lunch can be salad and chicken or leftover pasta/rice with a small portion of begs added to it. Fat free yoghurt for dessert.
Snack is a cereal bar or a banana
Dinner I cook something; I tend to save a portion of what I cook for dinner to bring into work. Yesterday I had pea and ham soup so I am having the same for lunch today.
I drink 2 L of water a day.
Syns average 10-12/day. Usually: Hi Fi bar (3), couple of sugar free biscuits (2), sometimes I snack on a couple of sweets at work (5)... I also syn the sausages or any ingredient I use for cooking.

After talking to my consultant she said to keep an eye on the syns and add speed, and have more variety. I eat the same(ish) thing most days....

Calzone Good idea. Will also track with MFP. How many calories do you aim per day? I have it set at 1300/day...

I occasionally log my food with MyFitnessPal and find it's about 1200 calories.

I would keep going. Add an extra speed portion in per meal and make sure you are drinking lots of water x
