Caught sight of myself today
6

SamoanSamosa · 11/06/2017 18:46

I am a classic mirror avoider which has been a big contributing factor to why I am now a few stones. I had at least 5 stone to lose, possibly 6. I've lost 2 and feel amazing! My body looks and feels so different already. However I caught sight of myself today and now feel really disheartened because I still look so so overweight (I'm very short and don't carry it well!)

I have nothing to compare my now body with my then body but I have no photographic evidence either due to my camera avoiding tendencies!!

I just needed a place to say that and to go 'waaaaaaah!'

Try and concentrate on the weight loss achievement so far. Well done! I have had this sort of thing, and I need to remind myself it's because I'm not so much in denial as I was. Not that I look workse! Grin

You've lost two stone, that's brilliant. I would suggest you put a suitcase on your bathroom scales and fill it with books, cans of soup etc. until it gets to two stone. Try and lift it and you will see what you have lost. Keep going, you're doing a great job. Easter Smile

Aw thanks you guys! DD2 weighs 20 lbs so I was using her as a guide to how much I've lost! DD1 is 38lbs so she's my next aim!

I love the suitcase idea! I'm going to do that right now!
