I keep reading different interpretations of these. I have an office job and drive to work. However most of the time I do 10,000 steps a day including a walk at lunchtime although not at fast pace. I jog and do hiit a couple of times a week and on the weekends I do lots of child based activity and the odd yoga practice.

I tend to put myself down as lightly active based upon the above. After losing 4 stone I'm now finding a few pounds have crept on. I do think I'm eating a bit too much with too many binge days but want to find a happy medium in terms of calorie consumption.

I'm still about a stone overweight but my reasoning has always been it's better to find a place where I'm fit happy and sustainable - I find it v hard to lose weight and it took me a year to lose the last half stone so the idea of slogging away for that last 10 pounds was too hard to be honest!

I know I need to keep an eye on calories to keep that happy medium but I had hoped I could manage to maintain on 1600-1700 per day which my lightly active tdee suggests rather than 1200-1300!
