Need to lose ALOT of weight :( what did you lose? and how?

I have just worked out i need to lose 5 stone in order to be the ideal weight for my height! Since having my ds 7 mths ago i have piled on a stone (actually went back to what i was before after having him).

It isn't that i eat too much, it is that i eat crap, easy to grab things, as i never seem to have time to make something proper ( 3 YO and 7 mth old), i am starting weight watchers on Thurs.

So how much have you lost? and how did you lose it?

I wanted to lose 2 stone and did so with WeightWatchers. I think it appealed to me because I didn't want to be shamed at the weekly weigh-in by putting on each time, so I either lost weight or stayed the same each week. I also begrudged paying to be weighed and so wanted to get to my target ASAP! I found I didn't need the support of staying for the talk after the weigh-in, although tis must help some people. I was quite strict at writing everything down on a weekly diary sheet and totting up the points. I also exercised to earn extra points for wine. Good luck!

hiya, lost 4.5 stone with slimming world a few years ago, lost it in 5 months.
Found it easy to stick to as you can eat large amounts. Tryed ww in the past but didn't get on with it myself, i was always hungry.
Take it a day at a time, set small targets like getting into some clothes that are too small at the moment.
Treat yourself to something when you reach every half stone. Like a nail varnish or something small none food.
The most important thing is finding a diet you really like and that you are not hungry on, I think so that you can keep it up without felling deprived.
Oh just remembered i used to save all my 'sins' for wine and chocolate and have a glass of wine and a curly wearly (sp)every night or save my wine for the weekend good luck

I have lost 2.5 stone .I have been doing a low carb diet,very loosely based on the Clarke plan.I have as much veg as I want ,no refined carbs and at the moment no rice/ potatoes/pasta/bread.
I am allowed one peice of bread a day hwich I have a breakfast.
I find the diet really easy,never hungry and I can have a g&t every night.

I also do exercise and weights which has made a huge difference.
I have gone from a size 20 to a 14/16,so need to ideally lose a few more stone.

Good luck with you diet,motivation is the real key .
