Slow weight loss.

I started dieting & exercising last June/July & lost 44lb by December. I lost the weight quite quickly initially & then I'd hover at a weight & lose 3/4lb the following week or 2. I didn't do any diet or exercise in December & gained 7lb but now I'm back on track & I can't lose weight. My calories are MFP 1510 based on weight & exercise. I do two PT weight & cardio seasons a week & walk atleast 14,500 steps week days. I also do a 15 min HIIT session with weights 4 nights my PT designed for me. I had assumed my weight loss would be like before & I'd lose 7lb in a few weeks but it won't budge & im starting to reach for the custard creams.

What am I doing wrong? I still have atleast 28lb to go (although 56 if I wanted to be pre baby weight) so im not small or near target. I'm finding it hard to stay motivated with no results.

I would suggest looking at portion sizes and actually weigh things out - it's very easy to over do portions.

I'm really strict so I even measure my milk for my coffee. I always round up too so if my chicken breast is 228g but MFP only allows 250 I'd use that. I do have the occasional ready meal but less than once a week.

1500 is quite a lot of calories?

May be worth getting your thyroid function checked?

Lesley1980 · 06/02/2017 21:00

I've an underactive thyroid but it was checked in October & I also have low iron but I'm on medication for that too. So it should be ok?

I'm trying not to look at the scales & just keep going.

You could potentially be gaining some muscle weight-don't reach for the custard creams! Just stick to it, keep going for a bit longer-what you're doing should make you lose weight, but if not then reevaluate what you eat-is it high in sugar, salt, fat? Sometimes I feel like I've barely lost anything and I discover I have actually lost some weight- I'm sure it'll all work out fine in the end

What diet are you following?
