It has come to this - I need to be serious about this or nothing.

Anyway, I swear there are threads but I have searched and can't seem to find an ongoing one! Anyone know of one? Thank you.

Today has been harder / easier etc. Having the weekend to settle in has helped. I really really enjoyed my chicken and vegetable at lunchtime! Less fun was some missing of a huge meal I could tuck into - of just going out and buying whatever I wanted and scoffing it. But that is what has got me to where I am. The "just a bit ..." or "this one night won't hurt."

Thank you princess how are you going? I know what you mean about bread! So much goodness from it! I researched baking my own bread to try when I start eating it again. Well done anyway - you're getting closer to meat and green veg!

Rolls out the trumpeters!!!! I am 13.13st can't remember the last time I was this weight. I had a migraine yesterday second one ever and felt awful, when I was in the mend I had a wrap with cheese doh! Should have just had my shake.

I have 10 days until I am a guest at a wedding and hoping I can shift a bit more.

Well done blank - weekends are always hard. It shocked on how much of our weekend revolves around food. Pop to town on errands and have a sausage roll and a coffee. Or walk on the beach and an ice cream after etc. We went to the carnival and dh and kids had chips, I resisted. Every time I say NO it gets easier.

Have a great week this week! Don't forget the water! I have a 2litre jug which I leave on the side. I aim to finish one in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

I am seeing my gran today before she starts chemo and she is a feeder. On one hand she advised me to get a gastric band ( in front of a room full of people) and on the other hand she is getting out the biscuit tin and homemade cake to have with a coffee! Good job I love her!

I did Exante earlier this year and lost 2 stone in 10 weeks (was not well and refused surgery to fix it so tried it) - have kept it off admittedly only for 6 months - however I spent much of that 10 weeks working out why I ate not what I ate - I have a naturally slow metabolism, and loathe exercise. One thing that helped was tweaking my life style to manage the weight. I now follow 16:8 and cook everything from scratch - also learning that when I am not hungry its OK not to eat!! - I also had to accept that the emotional eating that I grew up with, along with heavy carb loaded meals and finishing everything on your plate were just things that happened and not to hang on to them - I eat for me to keep me alive, not when I am happy, sad, depressed, angry or upset, celebrating something - this is an ongoing issue and I have accepted a life long one.

The one thing I learnt from Exante (over and above almost eliminating the health issue) is the size of the portion on the plate is not necessarily what my tummy can or wants to digest!!!!

That sounds really promising plumstone, good luck with your maintenance. I know this is the easy but keeping it off is the hard part with any diet.

I am a carb addict and they don't agree with me I get ibs and fat so will see lower carb for the long-term.

I had a busy day today it was 2pm before I had my first shake, thankfully no I'll affects from my carby cheese wrap yesterday.
Migraine has gone and feeling positive for the next couple of weeks

Hello, I started Cambridge a few weeks ago and have lost 12lbs so far, including having a holiday in Spain where I put on 2lbs but have lost that the week I came back and re-focused. I have about 7st to lose! I was actively looking for a Cambridge diet thread when I found this, so pleased!

I am finding it hard, the water is the hardest part for me. I am doing Step 2 and can get through breakfast and lunch but it's exactly around this time in the afternoon when I start to crack. I might only have a low cal bite to eat, but I still have something. Then I feel bad about having dinner. I have work to do on sticking to it 100% but am not quitting yet!

princessconsuelabannahammock · 11/10/2016 17:02

Hi littlemiss! For the water I have 2l jug and I fill it twice a day. I drink 2 big glasses straight down - no lady like sipping for me, I knock it back like it's tequila. Otherwise I lose track. Other tips I have seen are filling 500ml bottles and setting a timer on your phone every 2 hrs to remind you. I def lose more weight and feel better when I drink all my water.

I am on a 5st weight loss journey and some days it feels insurmountable so I am concentrating on fitting into a skirt that is 3 inches from buttoning.

Would spacing out your shakes differently help? I have mine as late as possible and drink black coffee about now and do housework to try and distract me. My danger time is when the kids are in bed. So I mumsnet and pretend the kitchen doesn't exist.

I have to cook for the family and somehow I feel strangely detached about it but I don't sit with them, hubby gets dinner duties.

Good luck keep us posted

littlemisseatsherfeelings · 11/10/2016 21:16

Hi Princess, thanks for those tips, I will give them a try!

I am going to try spacing out the meals and water with some fruity teas tomorrow to see if that helps too. Anything is worth a try.

I have an almost 2 year old who is fussy so I do struggle to not pick and what he's left! Other than that I don't mind terribly having different meals to him and hubby. For now Confused

Will keep you updated and will keep checking in to see how everyone is doing!

princessconsuelabannahammock · 11/10/2016 21:24

Make sure your fruity teas don't have any sugar in.

My son is 2.5yrs and when he is finished I just chuck it in the compost bin without even looking - lucky he is a food monster and rarely leaves anything. Little pickers wear big knickers! My slimming world consultant used to say this and it's sadly true.

I am so cold today I am say under a blanket with a hoodie on and gillet and slippers and I am still cold. If I want something different and savoury I have a stock cube in hot water. Tonight I have had 2 just to keep warm. Hubby assures me it's not that cold it's just me.

I am only planning on doing this until Dec, then I will add a meal. Then slowly over a month or so introduce regular meals but low carb and it can't come soon enough.

littlemisseatsherfeelings · 11/10/2016 21:34

Sooo true - I wear some pretty big knickers! BlushGrin

Ok will check the tea packs, didn't think of that. I quite like green tea too which should be safe I think?

princessconsuelabannahammock · 11/10/2016 21:47

Check the labels, is my best advice. When I low carb I don't eat anything over 5g of carbs in 100g of product. If I do eat on this diet I have grilled chicken breast and broccoli - tastes like the best meal ever after a week or so of shakes only. I ate steak and broccoli at the weekend, I miss chewing 😅 I actually prefer my coffee black now and I never thought I would say that.

Hello - I am coming back to this thread after life happened and I became sidetracked.

So it's been about four weeks (ish?) and so far I am down from 14 st 2 to 13 st 8. It probably would have been more if I had followed it 'properly.' I am on stage two - so I have had lapses, but so pleased to have a tangible result! My appetite is smaller and so far the products are good/ ok. Next step is to get below 13 stone!

amusedbush · 10/11/2016 11:29

Is anyone here still on plan? I'm on day two (for the fourth time or something, I never make it past the first week!) and I have 99lbs to lose so a pretty long road ahead Sad
