callanetics to christmas.... want to join me?

I am dieting and losing weight but want to get more toned. I just don't have it in me at the moment to do 30 day shred or hiit training. So my plan is to carry on walking more - aiming for 10 000 steps a day and dig out my callanetics DVD and book.

I had great success with this last year but stopped. Its brutal and boring but I really saw results quickly. Anyone want to join me. Misery likes company!

I should do this, I like the stomach crunches in callanetics but never do the rest of it! Or I could take the shrink wrap off the 30 day shred Blush

bibbitybobbityyhat · 26/09/2016 21:45

Lordy! does callanetics still exist? I bought the book in the 80s!

If it is brutal and boring, how is that different from 30 day shred? Grin

princessconsuelabannahammock · 26/09/2016 22:03

It's not huffy puffy like 30 day shred - which I love I just can't bring myself to do it. I am determined to walk the school run until the weather is against me.

Think I will try and do it 3-4 times a week but son is dropping naps so will have to try and do it in the evenings. Big sigh.

I keep picturing myself as a lean ballerina - currently more mini hippo but you gotta dream big right?

I am determined to not be almost sobbing in a changing room come Xmas when I try and find something vaguely flattering that doesn't look like a tent! Like every year.

Thinking if I can rebuild my core after 2 c secs and start to see some results I can get my head in the game and start hiit and 30 day shred again.

Bloody love the callanetics abs

princessconsuelabannahammock · 27/09/2016 08:27

I have the book callanetics countdown 30 days to a beautiful body - here's hoping!

It's 20 min workouts so I will start with that. I remember from last time barely being able to lift my baby as the arm ones were so hard! I also have the DVD so I will move on to that after. Just off for the school run them swimming but should do this at lunchtime. Will update later. Weirdly excited about starting this.

Nope that's my plan too. Hubby came home with a sickness bug and collapsed on the sofa so didn't feel right kicking him out so I could exercise.

Kids in bed by 7.30 so plan to do it then whilst watching house of cards - I get so engrossed it should take my mind off of my puny and under utilised muscles!

princessconsuelabannahammock · 27/09/2016 21:08

Done... Omg! My muscles have seized. I don't think I managed every rep on any exercise. I had better be a GODDESS in 30 days.

I've ordered the book on Amazon, I'm currently doing a thirty day yoga program so will start this one after

princessconsuelabannahammock · 28/09/2016 07:37

Good luck Lyra, you will probably find it easier than me what with all the yoga.

Keep- did you manage to find the time yesterday?

Not looking forwards to doing it today but hoping it should be easier by the end of the week. Might get it done in a bit then it's done. Less chances to talk myself out of it.

I'm in!

I have the 10 hours dvd but it's payday and I'd like to buy a new one to keep it interesting.

bigkidsdidit · 29/09/2016 14:32

Ooh looks like I can buy the quick dvd on Amazon prime.

I'm in the gym tomorrow so I'll start Saturday Smile I'm going to aim for four of the quick or two of the long DVD per week.

princessconsuelabannahammock · 29/09/2016 14:49

Yay welcome.

Keep. Mine in 30 day countdown to a beautiful body. There is a selection of exercises and it starts with the a low number of reps and builds up. I am saving my DVD which is an hr one for when I am a month in. I am not sure how many exercises there are as I read some reviews and some of the other titles are a re hash of the original one.
