Are you at home for lunch? If so you could have jacket potatoes, sin free chips, pasta (hot or cold), eggs (scrambled, boiled, omelette, fritattas etc) Salads, couscous. Can't think of anymore off the top of my head, but I'll be back.......

Sin free quiche - have a search around here for the recipe. It's on a previous thread along with other ideas.

couldn't find sin free quiche, anyone remember where it was?

Crunchie · 07/06/2004 10:40

Sin free quiche is really simple, or my version is!

1 pkt Batchelors pasta n sauce (I like cheese and broccoli)
4 eggs
large tub cottage cheese (I think it is 8 oz ish)
veggies

Get a mixing jug, measure 425 ml of cold water, add pasta n sauce, throw in 4 eggs and cottage cheese and a bit of black pepper. Mix (it looks like cold sick at this point!)
Fry light a quiche dish, pour in mixture, then add veggies such as sweetcorn, sliced mushrooms, sliced tomatoes. I usually use a couple of handfuls of frozen sweetcorn (straight from freezer) and a sliced tomato to look pretty)
Bung in oven 200 deg or gas 6, cook for about 30 mins until golden. Sometimes I do it at gas 5 or 190 deg it depends, it doesn't seem to matter.

This takes about 5 mins from start to finish to put into oven and does for 2 or 3 lunches with salad

Not been particularly good recently, but am starting again tomorrow - big time. How long does your quiche last for, Crunchie? And is it really sin-free? Also keep finding recipes that involve Heinz macaroni cheese - can these possibly be nice?

Kayleigh · 07/06/2004 19:52

be careful with the Heinz macaroni cheese willow2. it used to be free on a green day but it isn't any more. it's actually quite high in sins.

All the more reason to steer clear of something which looks, quite frankly, like something my cat chucked up.

thanks crunchie!!
