Eek. I've put on two pounds, so I'm nine six again. That comes of baking in a hospitable way when friends come round, and then eating what was left after they went! I've no will power when cake is actually in front of me. Hope everyone else does better.

pesme · 24/01/2007 08:42

hope you enjoyed the cake heavybee! i am 10 3 (.4 dam these new digital scales!), i too was baking at the weekend for dd's birthday. good luck everyone else.

4lbs on. 12st12.

Damn that lemon drizzle cake!

pesme · 24/01/2007 16:07

ahh, lemon drizzle cake 4lbs well earned!

willandsamsmum · 24/01/2007 20:13

13st1lbs here. I was 13st dead-on saturday morning but then drank my own body weight in Woo Hoos and Black Russians on a rare night out - worth it though. Still, Davina should be here soon to help me out

Smalline · 25/01/2007 09:54

1lb on this week. I think I've been eating too much carbohydrates this week, dd has not been at all well, so instead of making a lovely salads for lunch, I've been buying sandwiches from the sandwich trolley at work, I suppose they would be ok if they didn't have so much mayonnaise in them. Lemon drizzle cake sounds like heaven, my favourite flavoured cakes.

Oh it must be in the air this week - I am 11.10 - think that is a pound on as well!

Aunt Fanny and hotel chocolate are to blame in my case!

Shall we all try extra hard next week?

Smalline · 25/01/2007 10:27

Always wondered what AF was, now I know. I'm all for trying harder next week.

Furball · 26/01/2007 09:25

yoo hoo - remember me?

Well I'm back, do you mind if I re join you. I'm still in exactly the same boat as last year (how strange, not) I've started doing Slimming World at home and really really need to get his lardy lard off. Start weight last week was 12 st 8 now 12 st 2 - Hoorah. I'm 5ft 6 ish

Do you still send out 'the chart'?

Huge blip tonight as going on meet up and the food is fabulous, help!

DimpledThighs · 26/01/2007 10:20

welcome furball - simliar stats to me I see.

Good luck!

HeavyBee · 26/01/2007 14:06

Furball, how nice to have you back! And well done for losing that much, that's impressive. We do still send out the chart, at least, I do, so do you still have my address to send me yours as I don't have yours anymore?

Everyone, I'll send the chart later today, I'm running late this week. It's nice to know I'm not the only one to have a carbohydrate binge this week but with any luck we'll all do better next time.

Furball · 26/01/2007 14:15

HeavyBee · 26/01/2007 21:45

aw shucks

Furball · 28/01/2007 10:30

Thanks for the chart - it's good to see it again!

Out of curiosity - I don't know if you remember but my dh formulated a code to automatically total the weight loss - have you now lost it? as I can re- send it for you unless you are happy to work out everyones total manually every week?

DimpledThighs · 28/01/2007 10:45

pesme - spill on your diet technique pleeeeeaaaaassssssssseeeeeeee

Smalline · 28/01/2007 17:26

Yes please do Pesme.
I'm thinking of giving up alcohol for February to see if that will help me lose a few pounds, but the thought of a day without alcohol is like a day without sunshine, (read that somewhere can't remember where but it rang true to me).

OP posts:
pesme · 28/01/2007 17:53

I mention what i do here . basically once i started to lose significant amounts i was motivated to keep going. but i really had to hit rock bottom to get started (evans size 18 was beckoning and i couldn't bear it).

Smalline · 28/01/2007 19:01

Thanks Pesme that was my diet before the kids came along when I was 2 stone lighter. It looks like I need to give up more than just alcohol in february. I am currently doing 3 classes/gym sessions a week, I probably need to add another session or, take up running. Like you say it's finding what suits you and sticking to it.
