How how how can I fit in exercising for 1.5 hours per day?

Seems so hard with childcare commitments! And dark mornings don't help!

My aerobics' teacher said to do 1.5 hrs a day SEVEN days a week! Seems insurmountable!

ds has been going in the gym creche a couple of times a week but can't get there every morning. some ideas on how to squeeze it in would be greatly welcome. I mean fairly intense exercise - running, cross-trainer etc.

that is just plain dangerous

your aerobics teacher should be shot

moondog · 18/01/2007 19:12

That's a ridiculous schedule.
Who has the time?!
Why are you aiming for this??

Carmenere · 18/01/2007 19:14

Are you aiming for the aerobics olympics?

That's ridiculous 5 x 30 mins is plenty. Or 3 X 1 hour workouts. Making sure you have a rest day inbetween.

moondog · 18/01/2007 19:17

I do 3 x just over an hour each time each week and feel this is good going!!

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 18/01/2007 19:38

That's too much dinny, you'll be knackered at best and injured at worst.

3 or 4 times a week is plenty, your body needs the rest days.

glad you guys have said that - we were all really shocked when she said it! but she was adamant! she is pretty hardcore though - doesn't even break a sweat at spinning class!!!!

half an hour most days would be fine.

Who the hell has the time and inclination to do more than that?

Mandymoo · 18/01/2007 20:45

yeah and i bet she doesnt have kids, husband or a life!

Mumpbump · 18/01/2007 20:56

I do an hour a day just as part of my commute and have just started running again (30min to 50min) two or three time a week. If you walk everywhere, you can build quite a lot of exercise into your normal day, time permitting, but hard to see how you could do 1.5 hours of intensive exercise every day!! Plus everyone needs rest days...

dinny · 18/01/2007 21:36

yes, think you're right!

morningpaper · 18/01/2007 21:43

dinny · 19/01/2007 19:19
