Been using this to keep track of food intake

Just noticed it has some step adjustments.
Apparently I am using iPhone to monitor my steps.
How am I doing that? And where on my phone can I look it up?
Anyone know?

It's in the health app I think. I downloaded Pacer which also talks to MFP.

You don't need to download anything - as you say it's on your iPhone and it syncs to MFP, if you don't want it to just go into MFP settings and turn steps off. On the iPhone it's on the little health app that comes with the phone which logs your steps and any other health stuff you want it to.

Found it, thanks
I was manually adding the dog walk, so double counting Sad

Is it 10,000 steps to aim for?

Yes 10,000

But obviously only works if you have your phone with you!! So all that running around doing housework didn't get 'counted' yesterday

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 10/06/2016 11:25

It's strangely addictive tho.... Be warned Smile

Personally I don't count steps against my food intake and I don't count all my spin or running calories either. I think people need to be wary about this. I walked round chatting on my phone for 40 mins while my daughters were playing sport and MFP reckoned that was 300 calories! I was walking moderately, not power walking. No way did I burn off what I burn in a spin class!

Walkacrossthesand · 14/06/2016 23:43

I didn't lose weight with MFP until I stopped logging exercise - I think it overestimates calories burned so you allow yourself too much food.

dollylucy · 15/06/2016 22:49

The calories burned do seem a lot for the steps.
V interested in the steps though, I just had a sightseeing weekend and did loads!
