i need to lose about 5 stone and am at the end of my tether. i just feel like there is something in my mindset that is preventing me from focusing on success rather than failure.
has anyone ever seem a hypnotherapist? i have had the paul mckenna book/cd but have not got on with it, well, i didn't apply the rules properly and persevere.
any thoughts?

Sorry - not tried it but was hoping to read the posts of anyone who had!

My DH went for hypnotherapy for stopping smoking but was told he wasn't right for it - personality wise, I think they can tell who it will work for after chatting to them for a while.

hmm, i am thinking maybe the lack of posts here may be because hypnosis is not so sucessful for weight-loss..!!

Hi. i recently started this for weight loss!!! I went with the intention of losing weight but so far all the sessions seem to be going into the underlying issues of why i use food for comfort. However, the first two weeks when i religously listened to my cds, i did feel a positive urge not to stray of the "healthy living" plan.
I would suggest that you should give it a go. What have you got to loose? (except the pounds!!!)
