morning everyone, well done sally.

dh has lost 10lbs now and me 6lbs - it's so sloooooow! we're still sticking completely to the rules but i have a small glass of red wine most evenings. breakfast is sorted too: big handful of mixed nuts (brazil, walnut, macadamia and about 8 raisins) which suits me and satisfies too. I don't feel like giving up; i'm in this for a few weeks longer yet, but can't help feeling pissed off with the slowness - especially when i've got dh chortling away every time he steps on the scales! .

i know that 6lbs is great in the scheme of things and slow weight lost is better than too rapid blah blah - but i'm pretty sure you all know how i feel.

so today has been mixed nuts and coffee with cream & splenda and i'm making egg mayo salad for lunch. dh will have turkey breast joint with veg tonight. looks like it's going to be another beautiful day here - yesterday i just didn't want to go home and kept walking with dh in his pram, it was so cold and invigorating.

have you all done profiles? i've been posting for just under a year but only sporadically, so i think i'm unknown - what would be the point? it'd be boring anyway

hope you feel better soon sally.

well i fell off the old wagon in a very grand fashion. 2 supersize bowls of icecream covered in golden syrup, one straight after the other. almost gave me the shakes. well, it did give me the shakes a bit i suppose. i was that close to going to the Spar and getting a box of All Gold. That close.

hi all, so nice to see there are people here doing atkins and not just weightwatcherss.
i m only on day 3 of the induction, but m wondering when this extr energy is supposed to kick in..... allready quit e tired of eting salmon and sausages. cant face the turkey. just want to hve more veg, but i ve already eaten my allowance weight wise, though not carb wise. ddoese anyone know if its ok to eat more veg thn the 340 g allowed??

peanutbutter · 01/02/2007 18:27

hi stitch, on induction you have about 20g of carbs, or a couple of cupfuls of salad or veg (no root veg or ones with seeds though)per day. i found it hard at first but you'll settle into it and find the foods that are right for you. for instance; i was eating re-heated bacon and mushrooms every single day for breakfast and it nearly broke the diet for me but then i found i could have a handful of nuts and now that suits me fine. have a look at past weeks of this thread to see what we all had for diffferent meals in order to give you some more ideas - don't hesitate to ask questions either, although the others are much more knowledgeable than me about atkins.

thanks pb for your much needed support. i have lost two pounds in three days..and no longer so tiredd, but, i walked to and from school today, nd took the kids to the park, and ws shattered. at half five i parked the kids in front of the telly, and slept!

i thought radishes were ok?/ also, im still having between four and five meals a day, as three just means too logn between meals.. cant wait to be able to hve nuts again, they are what iseem to crave at the moment..

frogdelalune · 01/02/2007 21:20
