definitely if you run on it. Your bum will tone up big time!

stitch · 17/01/2007 21:02

i prefer the cross trainer as i cannot run.

morningpaper · 17/01/2007 21:08

Ordered one, bought one, used it for about 6 weeks and HATED IT

The problem with treadmills is that you can just STEP OFF

REAL running made a HUGE difference though - you can't just step off there, so you work much harder

Sold mine to my brother

As long as you run on it and don't use it is a clothes horse.

I prefer running outside myself, can't seem to get to grips with a treadmill. Also I like hills - especially the downbank!

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 17/01/2007 21:11

Yes mp - when you're 3 miles from home you can't just pack it in 'cos you've had enough.

dabihp · 18/01/2007 14:15

well would like to be fit enough to run outside, but would laugh at myself if i saw myself trying to run outside, plan is to use treadmill to get 'street run' ready!

Hard to use unless massively massively motivated.
I get somoene to drop me off a few miles from home then run back.As the girls say, you've no option but to carry on (especially if you want to keep warm!)
