Welcome to my world I sound just like you Kitty. Taking xenical, but it hasnt helped so far.

dressedupnowheretogo · 08/01/2007 20:22

theyre good til you come off them if you excercise after they help

they are also expensive

and i never slept while i was on them

fizzbuzz · 08/01/2007 20:55

I found them helpful, sleeping was a problem, but got better after you became used to them, apart from Reductil..never ever slept on that.

I lost 3 stone on them, but I think they just give you a kick start, and after a bit stop being as effective. However it is much easier when you are not hungry all the time.

I did put on some weight after losing that 3 stone about 16lbs, but the rest has stayed off for 5 or 6 years now. However an anti-depressant called sertraline was what made me put on weight in the first place.Sooooo hungry all the time on it

i just need to loose about a stone, maybe a stone and a half

i exercise anyways but its not shifting, once its gone i wont let it back

any reccomendations of the pills?

Really sorry..can't remember any names, National Slimming Centres could help

fizzbuzz · 11/01/2007 13:58

kittylete, have used something called act-slim, bought from local hair/beauty salon. Not cheap, but very very effective (honest-usually have gargantuan appetite, but these took it away)

fizzbuzz · 11/01/2007 13:59

kittylette · 11/01/2007 14:29

Well best of luck then! Take 1/2 dose for first day, as they can make you feel a bit shaky at first, but that soon passes. They don't stop you sleeping either.

Hope they work for you as well!
