I have a huge amount of weight to lose (about 7.5 stone!!!.

I have yo yo dieted for years now and this week I have again returned to Weightwatchers. I normally manage to do really well for about 4 - 6 weeks, and then it all starts to go very wrong. So, this time I know I've got to really do it - for myself, my DP and most importantly my ds and dd.

Has anyone ever used hypnosis to help with diets, food cravings, will power etc?? I'd be really interested to hear of any experiences.

Thanks in advance.

I would never use hypnosis as i know people who've had bad experiences with it.

Can be very dangerous if not carried out properly.

Weight watchers is good.

I lost 5.7 stone following that diet, many years ago.

Now i have just started doing the cambridge diet as i want quicker results.

I have loads to lose as well!!!

Hi, Over a year ago I used hypnosis for weight/depression issues. I invested some time in finding the right hypnotherapist though.. and just as I was about to give up on the idea I stumbled across a therapist who'd been interviewed in a magazine.
It was very worthwhile for me and I lost a good amount. I then moved countries (back to the UK) and decided to take up a slimming plan to inspire myself with new recipies and more about meeting new people .
There are a lot of myths surrounding hypnosis.. though it may not appear so, it is perfectly safe.. one ALWAYS has control. I've read some weird claims before, how successful it is, is really down to ones committment (as for most things!)
I would recommend you shop around for a therapist you feel comfortable with. For example, the guy I chose won hands down when I contacted him, because he was the only one to answer ALL my questions and as well as the 4 sessions, he did a month later session, which was also very useful.
For myself it was a real changing time, something I shall always be pleased for.

HI I had hypnoterapy and it works, especially if you need to get kick started, I lost lots of weight(20 KG) after my first baby and carried on loosing until i GOT PREGNANT AGAIN, STOP BREASTFEEDING THREE MONTHS AGO AND ENJOYED MY FOOD. deCIDED TO START HYPNOTERAPY AGAIN AND FOUND OUT I'M PREGNANT AGAIN, WOULD RECCOMANDE IT TO EVERYONE! (DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KEYBORD)
