Two stone to lose for a fantastic cause - will anyone support me?

I know it is just after Christmas and we are all stoney broke but in my wisdom, I have agreed to do a sponsored slim for a charity very close to my heart.
I am a regular mumsnetter but have changed my name for this post as I do not wish all my deepest darkest secrets to be exposed ...
If anyone can spare the price of a pint to sponsor me then I would be really grateful. All donations received go directly to the Motor Neurone Disease Society via the website and I will keep you all updated on my progress! (Currently day 2 - aaahhh!)
Here's the link and thank you to anyone kind enough to get involved x

I support that charity and I want to raise money for them.. so yes, I will sponsor you and support you ... just started my own 2 stone weight loss plan so I can do the GNR to raise them some money...

Good luck!! Hope we can help rid of this hideous illness....

Thank you for your support - your donation will show up on the webpage but can be anonymous if you prefer.
Perhaps we can do the weight loss thing together! I have been putting it off for ages and now hope the additional pressure of sponsorship will get my butt into gear (and into a pair of size 12's!)

I need to to lose some weight if you want another companion - I have sponsored you if you want to email me (sorry a bit cryptic I know) I'd like to get at least a stone off.. I'm on day 1 today and have no real plan.

I will pledge some money tomorrow -- some to start and then some for when you/we get to goal!! Would be great to support each other on the weight loss given identical amounts and the same cause.. I have been trying for a couple of months now but not really sticking to a proper diet.. but I am remotivated and sticking to a GI diet and also the 6 week campaign in Style thread..

I read your sponsorship page and was so sad to read of your Dad.. I work as an AV for MNDa and want to support pwMND as much as I can... wishing you luck!!

So, here's to a good week!!

True to Form - thank you so much for your support. It means a lot especially as you don't even know me.

I'd be delighted to get a "shrinking" group together - my motivation has always been quite low in the past but I'm feeling quite positive at the moment and am happy to share it around! (On the basis that when the sugar craving hits - you'll all be there wagging your fingers!!!!) Keep in touch

TrueToForm here, I had a half grapefruit for my breakfast this morning.. am about to get on the scales so shall post my weight and my target weight - eek

ClosetSlob · 03/01/2007 08:56

I am - 11.3
target - 9.10

so need to shift 21lbs

theincredibleshrinkinglady · 03/01/2007 10:14

Couldn't even post my actual weight - it was bad enough "coming out" to my dh!!! Let's just say that ideally I need to lose 3 stone to fall into the healthy bracket but that 2 stone is a good first goal!

Mancmum-just spotted your donation - thank you x
It sounds like you already do a fair amount for MNDA. I would love to know more - perhaps on a different thread. I hope to be in a position to be a volunteer visitor for MNDA one day but it's all a bit too raw for me still. There's still a piece of me that cannot believe my Dad is no longer here ...
