Have just weighed myself and I've only put on two pounds! That is my smallest gain ever at christmas. This is the first year ever that I didnt buy a massive tin of quality street .

I have got loads of big spots round my chin from too much cheese and crisps though so i havent got off scott free.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 02/01/2007 08:32

well done!..im actually only eating weetabix or porridge now!..im sooooooo sick of sweet/rich food over christmas, so this shouod help

You lucky ladies! I'm fully expecting to have put on at least half a stone. I just can't keep my pigging to christmas day and boxing day and instead eat rubbish for the two weeks around christmas
My new year's resolution (don't even say it...) is to get down to my goal weight. I started dieting 3 months after ds was born, he is two in a few weeks and I'm still not there! Wish me luck.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 02/01/2007 09:31

I try to work to 1/2 stones as mini goals (at my best I had lost 2 1/2 stone after ds but I've put almost a stone back on over the last 5 months )
My friend used to have marbles in a jar (one for each lb) of what she wanted to lose and an empty jar to start then each lb she lost she would take out a marble. I think I might do that or make a chart to colour in, I need a constant pat on the back when I do lose weight to keep me going! I'm one of those people who is more encouraged to try hard when I do lose rather than weeks when I don't lose or even worse put on...makes me want to give up

danceswithreindeer · 02/01/2007 11:46

Oh and where are you going on holiday SS - I'm looking for inspiration at the moment!

StrawberrySnowflakes · 02/01/2007 11:48

im going to Nissi Bay in Cyprus and im told its very posh with mainly footballers, d.j's and models staying there..so better take drastic action until thencos dont wanna be a beached whale!

Lovely, lovely. We have dd the same age but also ds (2yrs in a few weeks) I think that makes a big difference in our holiday planning....I'm longing for the day we can go on a break to the sun (dh not brave enough yet )

StrawberrySnowflakes · 02/01/2007 19:18

well we went to palma nova in feb last year and i always said i would love to go back in season.
beaches were beautiful!!!, lots to do even that time of year.
Our hotel was called vista nova and was FAB..very posh and we all had SC apartments within...huge pools!indoor and out!
was about 5-10mins(5 adults 10 with kids) walk down to cross over point between magaluf and palma nova, but not the nightclubby bit, just the family pubs and the other direction took you into palma nova centre, lot quieter..you should look into that!..mum at dd's school went in Aug last year and said there were lots more for kiddies to do!
