Hi all,

I had my daughter almost a year ago. Lost most baby weight from breastfeeding for 10m but since then, and I'm not sure why, I have eaten a lot of high carb, high sat fat, high sugar food! I've always loved naughty food but I'm usually quite balanced.

Anyway I've now discovered I'm in early pregnancy and I've started eating properly again. I am not looking to diet as that is inadvisable during pregnancy but if I do lose a few pounds I guess that's a bonus as it won't have been lost through restricting myself. I also want to be able to bounce back quicker and lose baby weight quicker than before so if I set myself on a healthy lifestyle now then it's more likely to stick.

This is what I've had so far this week and I'm just after advice really. Am I having too much or too little of something etc.

MONDAY: baked oats (w/ 1 banana & 2 strawbs) cooked in whole milk with flax seed and a little choc shot.

2 balsamic rice cakes with cottage cheese and an apple

Skinny convent garden soup with extra spinach plus side salad with feta and balsamic glaze

Spicy roast chicken w/ sweet potato

Chunk of homemade refined sugar free banana bread with cashew nut butter

TUESDAY: Banana bread with cashew butter

2 rice cakes with philadelphia and cucumber

A few apricots and 1 caramel rice cake

Skinny soup with extra spinach and kale and a little pasta

Almond bounce ball

Spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce, peppers and spinach with venison meatballs and a little cheese

WEDNESDAY porridge with strawberries and a little maple syrup

2 rice cakes with philly and cucumber and a slice of banana bread

A small handful of apricots

Skinny soup with extra spinach and 1 wholemeal bread thin with margarine

Weighg Watchers cherry yoghurt with fresh blueberries and half banana

Pack of salted popcorn

Fillet steak with 1 fried egg and oven cooked sweet potato chips

THURSDAY: 1 large crumpet with a little butter and marmite plus a serving of strawberries and raspberries with a little choc shot sauce

2 rice cakes with philly plus an apple

Slimming World cottage pie with veg mash and a side of raw spinach

Chicken breast cooked with philly and bacon with small serving of sweet potato wedges plus broccoli and asparagus

SIDE NOTE: I've been drinking more water and I cooke with either olive, hemp or coconut oil.

Thanks for any advice!

Also you're allowed an extra 200-300kcal during first trimester of pregnancy. I eat when I'm hungry which is a lot lately!

It looks fine to me, much healthier and alot more food than I managed during the first trimester.

Are you supposed to cook with olive oil? I thought it made it toxic. (could be completely wrong).
