Calorie/carb sensitive?

Did anyone read Bella or Best's article about calorie/carb sensitivity? According to the Qs I'm calorie sensitive. Seems I have to buy the book though to know what to do about it.

Okay I'm probably missing something here but I got a Special K pedometer yesterday and it showed I walked 3km but the steps it showed were only about 1000 which kind of shocked me as I thought that would be at least near 10 000. Then it drove me to work out that to do 10 000 I'd need to do about 30km?! Am I calculating this wrong because that just sounds silly. Also it showed I'd burned about 2000 calories but after converting to kilocalories this came out as 2 calories!! Sorry to drone on but this is annoying me, any help appreciated.
