Lifestyle changes for a healthier me

Currently I am 46 years old, 85.5kg (170cm) and am very gradually gaining weight. I'd like to halt the weight gain and ideally lose a bit, but am awful at dieting and self-sabotage every time.

I'd like to introduce some gradual changes-for-life into my routine. Things I can do every day of the year including Christmas and holidays. I would really love it if I had some company along the way.

First steps:

  1. No more crisps. This is important for me as this is one of the areas where I fall down, but actually I think if I don't 'just have one' when the children are eating, it will be easier.
  2. Eat at least one portion of fruit each day. I already eat some vegetables every day, but more fruit is good. Anyway, the idea is gradual change so it's not too intense.
  3. Ten minutes walking, three times a week.

Anyone else like to join in? I'd really love to have some friends to discuss what changes can be made realistically for ever. Steps 1,2 and 3, I aim to do for two weeks before introducing something else. Anyone else like to try?

Forgot to say, if anyone wants to sign up to changes, but with their own rules, I would be delighted. Mine are specific things I want to target, but I know they wouldn't suit everyone.
