My new life began yesterday

After two pregnancies very close to one another, marriage breakdown resulting in pretty major comfort eating, I gained 3 and a half stone since summer 2014.

I'm now 13'7. I'm only 5'3 so I look pretty - big.

None of my clothes fit so I'm walking around in leggings and old t shirts of the exs.

So I took the bull by the horns and signed up for a VLCD, Cambridge. This is going to be tough for me and I need support, but I really don't want to be fat. Getting back to just below 10 stone (actually I don't feel so bad at just below 11 stone) is going to help me going forwards in my new life, in moving on from an abusive relationship and hopefully being a good role model to my children.

Please support me!

Mine starts today. We'll do it together.

I'm 5'5 and 14.8 - massive. Two children and gained masses with both, never shifted it.

We've got some very exciting times coming up and I desperately want to feel good.

I've been at weight watchers for about 8 weeks and barely lost a thing. I'm ready to kick it's arse.

Had my porridge, onwards and upwards. Or downwards maybe?

Well done in deciding to take action. I'm sure you'll get plenty of support here-you'll start to see results quickly and start to feel better.

I've been doing Sw for 2 years in January. Lost 1st 2 lbs in total but I really need to do this now I've got a long way to go. I don't look so bad anymore because I have been doing a lot of exercise but I still have fat rolls everywhere. Let's do this! 1st 7.5lbs to get rid of

Mine did too! I put on 2st in two months after being out on steroids. I've lost almost 1st of it but have slipped. So I started back on it yesterday. I cut out sugar and cut right back on carbs and that stone fell off in a few weeks. So I'm back to doing that again. I'd like a stone of by NYE and then won't be so stressed by the other 1/2-1st I have to lose. Good luck all, let's keep checking in!

How's everyone getting on? I'm on day 3 - yuck!

I'm on day four. Had a good day one, and a good day three. Slipped a bit on day 2 as my OH feeder brought home a curry for me though I'd told him I'd had my nice healthy dinner. He maintains his likes me plump but I think it's to do with his own insecurities, so he's always bringing me in things he knows I can't resist. Anyway, I need to work on my own will power, I should have just chucked the curry.

I'm supposed to be going out tonight to a Lebanese restaurant, I've checked out the menu and there are plenty of good options, but there will be drinks a plenty flowing. I've woken up feeling really under the weather today, so I might give it a miss tonight.

How're the rest of you getting on?

Hi op. We are about the same height and weight. I started yesterday. Wishing you luck! I'd like to be 9st 7 eventually. Aiming for 1 stone loss before Christmas.
