Cambridge weight loss plan

Anyone?

Starting today.

I had a rough year last year and it's taken its toll on my size. I could really do with shifting two and a half stone.

None of my clothes fit properly which should be an incentive in itself and I also want to have fertility treatment in early 2016 and my BMI needs to be normal or as close to as possible for it to work.

I struggle alone so can someone PLEASE cheer me on? :)

Do you mean the Cambridge diet?

If so, you only really need to try hard for 3 days then your body adjusts and you dont feel hungry, just bored.

It's like low carbing in a packet Grin

See how you go, try low carbing if you want more variety.

First 3 days will be a killer though, maybe start Friday so you can spend sat and Sun in bed/ bath like I do Blush

I'm more easily distracted when at work (have done the diet before) and find when at home I crave food!

I am also doing the Cambridge diet, started on Monday and am knackered! Today is the first day that I have started to feel alright, but lordy amd I missing real food. I need to lose about 4 stone to be right in the middle of my BMI... God that looks a lot written down.

InternationalEspionage · 04/10/2015 17:29

Ugh i am totally in the mood for doing this but out of UK and can't get my hands on it...

One stone has come upon me out of nowhere...and its growing unless I take control! C D so much easier than low carbing but has to be done one was or the other....Good luck ladies!

InternationalEspionage · 04/10/2015 17:34

Oranges I used it to shift a load of post pregnancy stuff that would just not go. Boring, tiring and cold but in a few more days I guarantee you that results will start showing and it will tide you through the process. You will do fine and feel fabulous Flowers

International I don't know if you have heard of Slim and Save but similar to Cambridge and they do deliver abroad I believe

Palomb · 04/10/2015 18:56

It's not something I could do but I though I'd pop on and tell you about my DH who started Cambridge last weekend and has lost 13lb already. He's done it before and lost 4 over 4 months and managed to keep most of it off for 4 years. Holidays this year have meant he's put some back on hence having another go.

It can work really well! Good luck to you all :)

I'm starting Cambridge today!! I am anticipating a tough week. But I am determined to do it. I want results and once it starts coming off I am hoping it motivates me to do it Smile

BeatriceAndHero · 05/10/2015 07:08

Well silly me Blush starting TODAY!

What time do you all have your shakes? :)

InternationalEspionage

It is actually called Cambridge Weight Plan so no need to correct the OP Smile

I managed a week on it but I was miserable. Heart palpitations, severe leg cramps and it brought on a random and horrendous TOTM. I was told not to continue with it Sad

InternationalEspionage · 05/10/2015 18:55

Correcting? It was called the Cambridge Diet when it first came out (also slightly different US version) and I wanted to check we were talking about the same thing Hmm Sorry it didn't work out for you...

OP you will be absolutely fine! I did heaps of water in the morning, first shake lunchtime and take it from there. Take things easy as your body adjusts and remember all the effort is worth it.

Emz - thank you for your kind suggestion I will look into that Smile

Honey - good luck to you too!

MissHoney15 · 05/10/2015 20:17

I've had a surprisingly good first day! Shake for breakfast, spaghetti bolognese at lunch, peanut bar as a snack (I split this in half to make it last) and then tandoori prawns with broccoli for dinner. I am doing step 2 so it's 3 Cambridge packs and a meal for me as I am fat and tall lol. Now enjoying a diet cherry cokeSmileI thought I would hate the 'food' as I don't really like packaged things but I was pleasantly surprised.

How has everyone else found it?

laundryeverywhere · 05/10/2015 20:36

Hi I am doing Exante which is a vlcd similar to Cambridge. I have been on it for 10 weeks now and lost 2 stone so far. It can be hard some days.

laundryeverywhere · 05/10/2015 20:38

I don't have a meal, but I add a small portion of veg and sometimes snack on low carb things like meat or cheese if I am hungry, but try to avoid that if possible.

BeatriceAndHero · 05/10/2015 20:47

You're all right - it was the Cambridge diet, now known as CWP.

Porridge and chocolate shake for me and about to have a pack of spaghetti. I'm not hungry but do have a headache.

I used to follow the cambridge plan, but it was a right old fart on to get to the meeting place and when I wanted certain food packs, she never had them. So I could only have what she had on her. :(

So I did a google search on similar diets and thats when I found slim&save, I couldn't believe I was paying 2 x more for the same similar things.

I am on my first week now and know whats expected ahead due to being on cwp. I would say go and have a look at them, it would be nice to buddy up too.
