I'm seriously thinking about giving it a go - a couple of people from work have lost loads of weight over 6 weeks and say it wasn't too hard (their lunches looked really good and not too 'diet-ey'). I've tried loads of different things and never manage to stick to them but this sounds quite sensible and doable.

Anyone else tried it..?

There's a range of lunches - salad options but ones with lots of protein, soups and wholemeal roll, eggs and a slice of toast, pasta salad, open sandwiches with lots of filling but just 1 slice of bread, that kind of thing.

Recipes appear to be quite straight forward - I made the shepherd's pie for tea tonight and it was delicious, and I'll freeze what's left for another night. There's no weird ingredients or protein powders or anything required. I've actually had a lovely day's food and am feeling totally satisfied and virtuous Grin

Sounds great! Thanks so much for the info. Smile x

CremeDeSudo · 07/01/2016 11:42

Keep us posted Bitter! Sounds promising Smile

Still happily on plan here - we usually have pizza as a treat on Saturday so I was very pleased that my plan included a recipe for a healthy veg pizza. I could join in with everyone else and didn't feel deprived and depressed like I often do when following a 'diet' Smile

BitterLemons1 · 17/01/2016 18:37

Quick update - just under 2 weeks in and I've lost half a stone, so v v happy Grin Grin

CremeDeSudo · 17/01/2016 21:34

That's amazing!! Sounds like this could be a promising one..

BitterLemons1 · 18/01/2016 20:20

Just watching How To Lose Weight Well and the poor woman has just spent £71 on supplements and other nonsense!! My whole 6-week plan cost less than that, and doesn't need any stuff like that. Am enjoying the programme though.

CremeDeSudo · 18/01/2016 20:31

I'm watching it too! I hope she can claim it back Wink

BitterLemons1 · 18/01/2016 20:34

Yeah, when the diet undoubtedly fails Confused

CremeDeSudo · 18/01/2016 20:47

I hate it when people react like the raw food diet bloke did to vegetables - did you see the kids? Awful.

BitterLemons1 · 19/01/2016 14:00

I know Shock It was a totally unrealistic and unsustainable diet for that bloke though - amusing tele though Wink

BitterLemons1 · 02/02/2016 18:43

Just a quick update - I've lost another 4lbs, so that's 11lbs so far Shock, I'm still on plan and finding it really easy now that I'm into the routine of it. I really like having a plan at the start of each week so I know what I'm eating each day, and am so much more organised with my shopping and meal planning than I used to be.

BitterLemons1 · 06/02/2016 19:57

Went to my usual exercise class this afternoon and 2 separate people asked me what I had been doing to lose so much weight Smile First time anyone has noticed Grin

CremeDeSudo · 06/02/2016 20:54

That's awesome well done! Smile are you still enjoying it? I lost 4lb in 4 weeks doing 5:2/16:8 so I'm pleased so far! I don't mind if it's slow as it's a lifestyle change for me , as long as it's coming down!

BitterLemons1 · 10/02/2016 17:16

Yes I am - I know it's a cliché, but it doesn't feel like a diet now, just a healthy eating regime. I'm feeling so much better in myself, and am also losing weight without any hardship really.

Well done, that's great! I've had a few attempts at 5:2 but found myself dreading the fast days all week, I like 16:8 though and find it works well as a way of eating.

Pippinn32 · 03/03/2016 14:25

Hi BitterLemons really good to hear such a positive review as I'm about to sign up to Freedom Diet Coach too. I've contacted them to see if they can make me a sugar-free plan and they said yes, so I'm going to give it a go. Their website says it's currently on offer at £65, which I actually think isn't too bad, so I've decided to try it.

I've been following my own reduced-sugar plan, but would like to start losing a few lbs, and also want to know that I'm following a nutritious plan as well as being sugar free, and I also think that the accountability will give me a motivation boost too.

Are you still getting such great results from your plan?

BitterLemons1 · 11/03/2016 17:13

Hi Pippinn yes I'm still having great results - I've lost 1st5 now, and have only got a few lbs left to lose. I'm so happy that I signed up, give it a go you won't regret it Smile.

I was stuck in a total food rut before, but I've now got loads more healthy recipes that I follow, and am really into the swing of planning the week's food at the weekend. I don't want to be overly dramatic but it's really changed my life for the better. Come back and let me know how you get on with it x

lawn · 18/03/2016 12:58

Can I join? This might be just what I need. Am signing up now and will start when I'm back from holiday on the 30th.

TimetohittheroadJack · 18/03/2016 13:03

Could you give us an example of some of the things you are eating? Is the pizza homemade?
Is it a low fat diet?

TimetohittheroadJack · 18/03/2016 13:09

Call me suspicious but the fact neither you or the website gives a hint of what sort of diet it is makes me think its a con!

CremeDeSudo · 18/03/2016 13:12

BitterLemons said this further up the thread:

^There's a range of lunches - salad options but ones with lots of protein, soups and wholemeal roll, eggs and a slice of toast, pasta salad, open sandwiches with lots of filling but just 1 slice of bread, that kind of thing.

Recipes appear to be quite straight forward - I made the shepherd's pie for tea tonight and it was delicious, and I'll freeze what's left for another night. BitterLemons1 · 18/03/2016 15:36

Not a 'con' TimetohittheroadJack I'm just sharing something that has worked for me. My diet plan was produced for me based on the info I sent it, so I think it's hard to say exactly what sort of diet it is as I guess they'll be different for everyone, but if I had to label it I'd say it's a 'no processed food healthy diet'. I've tried to give helpful info about the food I've been eating - please see CremeDeSudo's message above.

BitterLemons1 · 18/03/2016 15:37

Yes the pizza was homemade.

BitterLemons1 · 18/03/2016 15:38

Welcome Lawn Smile

TimetohittheroadJack · 18/03/2016 17:17

'salads with lots of protein, soups' is a bit vague!!!

How do you make your pizza?
