So I've lost 43.5lb since the end of January this year when I joined wwers

Stuck to plan, found it relatively easy to follow and very happy with the results

Now my problem is keeping it off. I've lost and regained weight many times before. I'd rather not have to do it again.

I seem to be failing now that it seems I no longer have a goal to aim for, which will definitely lead to a weight gain if I carry on. One binge this week involved three bags of crisps and a whole family sized bar of chocolate:( I seem to be in self destruct mode:(

So basically I need to know how to get my head in the right place to keep the weight off. Any tips gratefully received.

TBH you might benefit from using MFP to track your food.

Work out your TDEE for 1lb less than your current weight and 5 years older than you currently are
and get into the habit of eating that amount averaged across the week

that way the habits of eating the right amount will lock into place.

Meal planning so you know what you're supposed to be eating on a given day really helps me, and also batch cooking healthy things for the freezer.

I have issues with eating lots of junk food so I just don't have it in the house. I eat crisps but one packet at a time either in coffee shops or by walking a mile to the local shop and buying them there.

I agree with the pp about using mfp or similar to get to know how much you should be eating in a day until it becomes easier to know what you're supposed to be eating. Does ww have a maintenance plan? Really well done on your weight loss by the way.

Actually I remember when I reached my target weight to try and stop me obsessing about food I started concentrating on fitness and strength rather than what the scales said. I wanted to eat well to help meet the gym goals and I've got great arms for the first time ever. I still have the crisps problem though!

Start exercising apparently it can help keep weight off and will give you a new focus?

Start exercising apparently it can help keep weight off
Only if you keep your intake down.
Exercise cannot counteract bad eating habits

but it will help tone you so you look leaner and meaner.

Congratulations on your weight loss, I would set a goal to be still at your target weight in a month and get more toned and fit. Then keep going to WW as a gold member and encourage others. But the other thing is to work out a points allowance for maintaining and save up some points from it during the week so that you can have a treat or two and some nice food to look forward to, maybe at the weekend.

I know what you mean . I lost some weight for my wedding last week and got down to 10 st 5 lbs. I've eaten more food in a day while we were away than I do in two when back home.

Today I'm back on plan but I feel deprived. I feel like I've been ruled by my stomach today and it's been snuffling and snorting for food like a pig looking for truffles.

I could so easily give in. I know where there's a bar of chocolate and one piece wouldn't hurt...would it?

At this stage inthe game I think it would. I think I have to retrain my stomach to get used to accepting less food.

I want to be 10 st at Xmas. Well 9-13 really. So that's keeping me pushing forward but I could so easily give in.

Hopefully as I've got my first total sugar free day tucked under my belt tomorrow will be easier.

Set your heart on what you want to be at Xmas . You've had a massive weight loss. Please don't give in.

I don't know what I weigh but I tried one of my skinniest dresses on and it fit so hopefully I haven't one too much damage.

Keep trying one of your slinkies on. Each day. Take a selfie. Don't let it slip!
