Losing weight with hypothyroidism, anyone?

I have two small dc, I've gone up from a pre-dc size 8, 8 stone to a size 12 and I'm 9 stone 10. I feel fat and unfit and my thyroid still isn't right from when I gave birth a year ago. I've never had to lose weight before, now I hate how I look. Doesn't help that my boobs are massive too.

Does anyone know how to lose weight when you're hypothyroid? I take thyroxine but still have all my baby weight, my body hasn't changed from when I gave birth. My stomach is awful, flabby and my muscles haven't fully knitted back together.

I did try calorie counting, was eating 1200 a day and lost 3lb and no more.

So what I would like to know or get any advice on is how to lose the baby weight, and is it possible when you're hypothyroid? I feel like a mess.

TIA

You only gave birth a year ago. Give yourself a break.

The muscles : pilates, yoga, swimming, walking - ONLY exercise will sort that.
Weight shifting : most people who calorie restrict every day actually miscount massively.

For a start, log what you eat into MyFitnessPal for three weeks : set it to not lose weight - just understand what you actually eat

and then come and have a look at 5:2 as its a slow steady long term solution that should work well with the thyroxine
